GLE Mercedes ML-Class SUV – W166 (Spy pics & info)

The Mercedes-Benz GLE, formerly Mercedes-Benz M-Class (designated with the "ML" nomenclature), is a mid-size luxury SUV produced by the German manufacturer Mercedes-Benz since 1997. In terms of size, it is slotted in between the smaller GLC and the larger GLS, the latter with which it shares platforms.
"The all-new 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee is built on a proven rear-wheel-drive unibody platform sharing the same underpinnings as the Mercedes-Benz ML."
As far as I know there is no RWD ML out there let alone a proven one. Anyways there was an interview quote out there floating around with Ralph Gilles saying it was a joint venture between the two seperated companies but in no way related to the current or future ML. I think I would take his opinion more than some dude who takes information puts a little spin to it then regurgitates into some kind of press release.

We had a RWD ML350 and R350 for the 2008 and 2009 model years, they've been discontinued for 2010.

:t-cheers:

Wow, if this is the new interior - looks fantastic with very good build quality! Love the wood.

That's a really nice interior. All we need is standard equipment.

I keep seeing facelifted ML's and GL's with LED tailights and wonder why can't MB of all car makers can't make them standard?

Looks good. I wonder if AB used the old interior spy pics to create those interior renders. The interior looks the same as the spy pic we've seen before. Cant see any major changes although in the spy pic you cant tell if the wood will join the centre console the way it does in the AB render.
Screen looks a little small so im guessing thats probably the standard screen. How will they fit a bigger screen between the vents?

Thats pretty good, but it is time for Mercedes come up with a new corporate faceplate for the radio/etc. I've had enough of it when it showed up in the SLS, but for the next generation vehicles it needs to be something new.

I hope the next ML will be a 7 seater..If so i am pretty much garanteed a buyer i am really really liking the interior it looks almost a few levels ahead off the current Ml.
