This march 26 will be the craziest month in the history of Mercedes Benz.
So the date is no longer somewhere in May?

I’m waiting to see the S63. I hope the two different versions rumor is true.

GLS GLE

Then C EV

Then a pause until later in summer.

Then C FL, and GLA.

Not sure when the Maybach VLS arrives. Making the VLS a Maybach only is really smart move. VLE for everyone else.

AMG GT 4 door? Also, the AMG GT SUV will be introduced at the end of this year.
Alarmingly doesn't even seem to include all of the AMGs
The table doesn't include AMG models, but V8-engined AMGs are expected to be released in 2027. We will see electric AMGs this year.
Mini G is ICE released in 2027 ? I thought it was BEV and released this year.
I wrote the names on the table. The Mini G will be released in 2027, but the exact engines it will have are not yet confirmed.

I would love to sit in on a Mercedes sales rep training session. Can you imagine having to learn about all the new products and updates for the 2027 model year?

AMG GT 63 TRACK SPORT

Who is going to want a GT63 Track Pro when the GT Black Series is going to exist with a bespoke chassis and true track-ready performance.

Granted, the GTBS is likely going to be ~150-250k more expensive than the GT63 Track Pro or Track Sport whatever it's called. But still... seems weird to invest in a full track kit on a heavier compromised platform.

You just answered you own question. Not everyone will want or can afford the most extreme version.

But usually when you can't afford the most extreme version, you're still getting something that's not too much more inferior. IE, GT2 RS vs GT3 RS.... Here you lose a whole chassis and drivetrain setup

I doubt it will make a difference, otherwise why buy any version of the GT that isn't the Black Series this go round. This Track version is just another model under the Black Series like the others.

When we talk to a sales representative, they don't even have half as much knowledge as we do

Good point! I agree with that, just get a 1st gen GT S or C and call it a day.
That wasn’t my point. Point is this new variant is no different from the rest of the existing GT models in its relation to the Black Series model. If it was a problem with this new track variant it would be a problem for all of them. Buying a used car isn’t a solution if someone wants a new car.

I often wondered about this. Are they feigning ignorance of new models and updates because they want you to but what they have in stock now? Or are they truly that ignorant about upcoming product?

The Black Series will be limited edition and very expensive. Therefore, it's normal for them to expand the GT range.

And due to this as well as progressively increasing online configuration and sales, socalled "old school" sales personnel will eventually be replaced by something more similar to curators, financial consultants and "experience managers".

Why don’t they expand the GT range by making lesser extreme versions of the GT Black Series?

A GTS as a base, a GTC & GTR would do phenomenal in today’s date, especially against the upcoming GR GT.
