Solely based on looks, the new i3 will have stiff competition in the form of the new G50/51 3ers.
Never having been the biggest fan of the W206 + the fact that the W206 is beginning to date, I have a hunch that I will prefer the new C-Class EQ.

Comparing the i3 with the C-Class EQ ? They both appear quite representative of their particular brands. Very tough call as to which "looks better". And for the very most part subjective.

I'm actually quite surprised how the rear lighting units and the neo-retro faux radiator grill/shield "work" for me in these sugar-design renderings. Especially seeing how critical I've been of them on the GLC EQ.

As far as "looking like a Mercedes" goes: I have admittedly become uncertain of "what a Mercedes should look like". In fact, I'm not sure whether M-B designers know themselves. My personal preference for the future would be "Less is more" featuring expanses of sheetmetal devoid of superfluous ornaments and creases. Time will tell.

That frontal design is very bizarre and doesn't look like a Mercedes. It lacks elegance and has too much chrome. It has a faint resemblance to the F015 concept, but that was better executed. However the profile shot looks superb, very sleek.
