Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

Chassis engineering and suspension fine-tuning is where the German manufacturers hold the advantage over others.

This is exactly the point.

They’re already developing V8 Bi-Turbo engines, because their customers prefer it to 1.5L REX or BEV.

Let’s be honest, the interior is spectacular, be we don’t know what happens after a couple of years.

The engine is the choice between the devil ( BEV) and the deep blue sea (1.5L REX), none of it is adequate in this class.

it's wild that you even think this comes close to a German luxury car. It doesn't, it's pure superficial lipstick. And even that is cheaply copied.
I don’t think it’s wild. They’re much more technologically advanced, and build quality is pretty dang good too. Sure, their designs are like a mix of everything, but still. Though I’m just talking about the high-end luxurious Chinese models, not the regular ones. They’re definitely catching up.

We recently looked at BYD to get an affordable second car and I was so surprised at how good the interior designs and qualities were on certain models. There’s this model called Han, which is a 5er and E-Class “competitor” I guess, and it was just amazing. Everything felt extremely solid, and it was covered in leather pretty much everywhere. No hard plastic at all. It also had amazing tech. All of that for half the price is a really good deal imo. They’re no means “enthusiasts” cars, but still. Such a great package for the regular folks.

This car is insane actually. Funny how Chinese are making much better vehicles than Germans. Wild.

Agreed. At least in the back, the interior looks cozier, more comfortable, and more spacious than in the so-called Maybach. This photo actually gives me claustrophobia.

I agree.

People buy RR and Bentley mostly because of the image, but If your priority is maximum comfort the Maybach is one step ahead.

That’s where the E-ABC shines compared to the other cars with simple air suspension.

The mostly underestimated thing is the curve function, you’re driving through curves but you don’t feel it at all.

Key to a successful Maybach is the V12 engine, and maximum technology regarding comfort.

I personally would position the car not as sporty as a Bentley but sportier than RR.
Lol no car is better than RR at comfort refinement ,theyre THE BEST at that what they offer for road insulation and having a splendid comfy ride

Yeah, you can’t stretch you legs behind the driver If you’re 7ft tall, but that’s why you can pust the front passenger seat 8 inch’s forward and stretch your legs there.

What are the advantages of Chinese cars over German ones in terms of production quality and technology? I'm not talking about cars that float or bounce on water, which only 30 people reach annually.

The Chinese have advantages in a couple key areas. Sources of lithium which related to battery technology and production, and software. Seeing as many of the Chinese EV manufacturers started off in consumer electronics, their software experiences are that little bit more smartphone-esque in terms of useability and features.

They’re offering the 5er/7er level tech for almost a 3er money, or sometimes even less. You can’t get any of that equipment for the same price on German manufacturers. What’s not to like? It’s a great solution for regular people.
Those BYD SUV’s offer so much tech and luxury touches for a third of the price of an X3. We saw how horrible that X3 interior was. All plastic and dull looking. It would make no sense to get the BMW, especially in Turkiye, where they all have the smaller 1.6 engines because of the taxes. Of course people in Europe and US finds this argument “silly” or even “ridiculous”, but this is the reality for Turkiye unfortunately.
