Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

That's just a lazy excuse. Mazda makes the MX-5 the same size and weight as from 35 years ago. Lucid makes the Air which is the size of a SWB E38 but competes with modern S Class/7er in terms of interior space.

For Mercedes it's a combination of bulky hardware and the combined use of the platform for ICE and BEV.
The end result is a car with absolutely ghastly proportions, even compared to its direct predecessor

I would also like to say that the Lucid Air, with it's huge interior volume looks very blobby with no defined 3-box design, which is the bare minimum expectation for a Mercedes after the EQE/S disasters.

I can give you the 3 box part, but you're not getting the 'not blobby' part.

This new GLA EQ is looking very promising. A bit like a mini GLC but with different and very interesting looking tail lights. I am curious whether the tail lights will incorporate a full width center section or only be corner mounted. The grill looks like could be very similar to the GLC. I am not too excited about the interior and expecting it to be a copy paste of the CLA.

Wasn't sure where to post this one. There are some absolutely stunning AMGs that I didn't know existed.

Wow there are some amazing old AMG models.

It’s also interesting how Mercedes keeps making it look like a raised hatchback rather than a traditional SUV.

I've never been the biggest fan of the 'pumped up hatch' approach of the GLA, but it does have it's fans and gives Mercedes some form of competitor to the X2 and Q3. And I guess the GLB gives a more traditional SUV look, and the 'Baby G' will provide an even more rugged looking alternative.

Perhaps the next GLB will be less boxy and more akin to the X1?

The new GLB looks exactly like a Smart #5. And as for the GLA, I agree with the hatchback looks. It’s definitely weaker compared to the X1 and Q3 both sales and design-wise. I kinda like it, though not a huge fan of it.

I just came by some recent spy pics of the AMG SUV with final rims. It really looks good. Just hope the front is not like the CLA one.
