Hot! Mercedes-Benz, What's Next?

For me it’s another suicide game from them.
The only iconic car they have in their lineup was working during decades for its positioning.
If they mess with that too, they will have to go for another tacky subrand to justify its existence.

IMO they had the recipe to challange the Range Rover family creating a coherent SUV family and separate it from their sedans, it was the Ener-G-Force vision.

G-inspired but not destroying its independence. Replacing the blobby GLC
up to the desastrous GLS and scrap the GLA/GLB.

They have the potential and background that BMW and Audi don’t have, yet their SUV family is the worst, the new GLC just confirms that once again.
What a load of nonsense. Talk about a suicidal mission, trying to challenge the Range Rover with something that looks like a Tonka toy.

You have to take care of them, but the lend such an air of quality to them.

That all having been said, they should really do leather to sample interiors. I'm not sure if that is part of Manufaktur, but it should be. At least for the all top-end (63, 45, 65(?)) AMGs and E and S classes.

It always depends how you take care of them.

Almost all my cars are beige or white inside.

No problems so far.
We always prefer going with either black or dark brown. Since we have pets, they tend to make a lot of mess.
Our only car with a light colored interior was the Volvo XC40, and it was just really hard to keep it stain free. Funny enough, it was actually one of the main reasons why we sold it. 🤣

That makes sense.(y)

I never had pets, this explains it. And I don’t wear jeans at all.

The GLC and C-Class are family and have always had shared parts.
These vehicles are more closely connected than the GLE and E-Class. I wouldn`t expect any different on the EV side. The upcoming electric C will undoubtedly share parts with this GLC. The headlights, grill and interiors will probably be very close, if not identical like all other past models.
(Edit, I find it interesting the designers did not go with the black grill surround featured on the current E-Class.)

It appears that M-B has really done it's long overdue homework regarding their interiors. They indeed look very high quality in the film images.

The tech appears immesnsely impressive.

As for the exterior design... Acquired taste. Dedicated M-B fans will like it, I suppose. Not much "WOW ! Factor" though, IMHO. The design affine car fan may find M-B's IAA Mobility presentation anticlimactic. VAG and BMW are offering, IMHO, far more exciting eye candy.
