I though the EQS would have a classic grill and not the current shape sports grill to bring it inline with the upcoming FL S-class.

I believe they simply have no clue about what to do with the EQ range identity. The cars look fugly no matter the grille.

Gordon has sprinkled it with LEDs. Be happy.

At least he has not given the grill 1 billion stars. The block LEDs look better than the milky way on its grill.

EQS

I've read conflicting reports regarding the retirement of the current W/V223 and EQS sedans. New "converged" ICE-Hybrid/BEV S-Class as soon as in early 2028 or as late as sometime in 2030. This really needs to be decisively fast-tracked IMHO. An additional EQS sedan MOPF appears to me to be a waste of time and resources. And the W/V223 S-Class was officially presented in fall 2020. Replacements in fall 2027 should be the target.

Minor facelift, Vs an upgrade to EVA2.
Though I imagine it's just a hold over until the MB.EA-Large vehicles come out.
