Yes. Racing and sports cars that people want a more linear power delivery from. Would love them to make an NA version of this motor with like a 10k redline like the Temerario (I guess they could do that with a turbo too for even more insane power figures, but an NA would sound amazing).

The bigger engines won’t be used for racing, therefore the size won’t matter.

Perhaps. Maybe I could see a 4.7L AMG motor to compete with BMW on the street-first AMGs. Not sure they'd bother making yet another displacement.

A AMG I6 might be in the pipeline as well.

I hope so. The M256 is a lovely motor, but it seems like it's design doesn't lend itself to be super powerful. I think it was designed to be compact and smooth first and foremost and it isn't an AMG motor.
Would love to see an AMG 3L I6 with characteristic AMG low-down torque.

Don't see anything especially wrong with this. Looks like the ICE GLC in shape, minus the kink in the rear 3/4 window panel.

It's a smart, compact executive crossover.

Edit: Those wheels are awesome. Bit of a different look to the usual rims, but still look pretty cool.

If you look closely there’s also LED surrounding the whole grille. With all the other pixelated ones it can look a bit overwhelming. The new electric CLA also has this issue. Just too much.

Yeah but I was talking about the thick chrome final surrounding. Which is exactly what a Mercedes needs.

The general shape is quite ordinary. I think the graphics and small design details will make this thing exciting. Other than that it’s just a classic Mercedes SUV, nothing exciting there.

Ultimately, I think it's safe by design. This is their best seller. It needs to pass the test of being simple and elegant so that it fits the most possible lifestyles.

Not the segment you want to be being overly bold in. You don't buy an X3, GLC or Q5 to make a statement.

The next "statement" cars will be the AMG.EA vehicles and, to a somewhat lesser extent, the MB.EA electric E-Class sedan, I suppose.

In this era of growing boxy SUVs does anyone feel that Mercedes should also bring more boxier looking SUVs? Ofcorse the big daddy G-class is the ultimate of all the boxy big wheelers, but none of the others aren’t any!

I wish Mercedes must make next gen GLS boxier, so that it looks chunkier like those big a** luxury barges.

I feel there should be a SUV like Ener G Force concept in Merc stable or atleast something inspired from this masterpiece

I dont know how many of you have noticed this rendering of so called GLG, it should also be introduced as the Rnage Rover Sport rival!

A boxier GLS would be bonkers. Look at that !

I know Mercedes is beyond happy they didn't cancel the G-Class for the GL back in 2006. The G probably prints money for them and is easily the most iconic and prestigious Benz in the lineup today.

Yes.
The G500 with M113 saved the G. This was first non limited edition G with a V8, and the US market loved it.
