The previous CL was so much more enticing and "status"-flaunting during its time than the new one is during its time. Something about the new just got such a softer reception VS the previous two, although it's a more beautiful design through and through.

I've always preferred the 4-Door versions though.

I remember when that bad boy came out..... WOW, what a statement. My brother had one in that exact color, alongside a black W140 on 20" chrome Lorinzers.

Well, one is a basic, Used pre-facelift W221, and one is a hopped up brand new (2010) CL63, so the playing field is anything but level.

However, hot damn does the CL look great here. I'm sticking with the W221 as my ultimate choice as I love the Sedan look a bit more, I think it shows better and has a more alluring and stately presence on the road, and has a more timeless design (strong 3-Box).

However, after seeing them side by side, I gotta say, I might bounce back and forth regarding reconsidering. That CL is just brilliant.
