Mercedes-Benz, the German luxury carmaker today launched three new products in India – 2015 S500 Coupe, S63 AMG and the G63 AMG AMG ‘Crazy Colour’ edition. The cars were a part of Mercedes’ 15 new launches for the year 2015. While the stylish two-door S 500 coupe is priced at INR 2.0 Crore, the more performance oriented S63 AMG comes with a price tag of INR 2.63 Crore. As for the new colour option of G63 AMG SUV it has been priced at INR 2.17 Crore. (All prices ex-showroom Delhi). Along with these Mercedes also launched ‘Designo’ package, a new customisation package for the S-Class models. The S-Class coupe will turn heads 360 degrees and might kill some one as it is beyond art in terms of styling and road presence. Powering these models are no ordinary engines as the S-Class coupe will come in two petrol trims which is the S500 and S63 AMG.
The S500 coupe will have a 4.7-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a whopping 455 HP of power and 700 Nm of torque. The car is a limousine in disguise as it has two doors only as its dimensions are quite similar to the might S-Class. The S500 coupe measures 5027 mm in length, 1899 mm in width and 1411 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2945 mm.The Mercedes-Benz S500 Coupe is meaner, sleeker and much more stylish than its sedan counterpart, the S-Class. While there are some basic similarities in terms of design and structure, it is the styling that truly sets it apart. The two-door model comes with a whole new front fascia with redesigned headlamp cluster, brand new diamond pattern grille, new muscular front bumper housing the wide airdam and the large air intakes. The sculpted body lines really add a style to it while the 17-inch alloy wheels gives it that premium stance.
On the other side the S63 AMG will come with a 5.5-litre V8 Bi-Turbo petrol engine which produces a monstrous 585 HP of power and a whopping 900 Nm of torque and all that power goes to rear wheels via a 7-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT transmission. The S63 AMG is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr run in 3.9 seconds and 4.2 seconds in All-Wheel Drive trim. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/hr as always. However, you can increase it to 300 km/hr with the optional AMG Driver’s package. A coupe looks so good and goes like a sports car is a recipe for sumptuous meal.
The third launch for the day was the massive and monstrous G 63 AMG SUVs all-new ‘Crazy Colour’ Edition. While in terms of design and features the new G Wagon remains the same, the new edition offers some never before seen crazy colour options like the one you see in the image. Mercedes-Benz G-Class 2015 The G-Class is the legendary off-road vehicle from Mercedes which has been in production since a very long time. Recently Mercedes decided to give it the AMG treatment and results a car which can anywhere and very fast at the same time. The G63 AMG comes in this crazy color which is rare in the world of white, grey and black and Mercedes is bang on calling it Crazy Color for sure. The might engine is none another than the 5.5-litre V8 bi-turbo engine. The AMG turbocharged engine delivers 536 horsepower at 5500 rpm and 758 Nm of torque at 2000-5000 RPM. The power goes through a 7-speed dual clutch SPEEDSHIFT transmission to all four wheels. The G63 AMG can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and reaches the electronically controlled top speed of 210 km/h. The numbers are impressive when you consider the overall curb weight of this car over 2.5 tonnes. All over to you Mercedes to woo enthusiast and high-end customers like no other in the country.
