Let's hope more revealing spy shots of the interior come out

I doubt we won’t be seeing much anytime soon.. recently I was taking to an executive from Mercedes-Benz India product planning team, he briefly mentioned that the interior will be having bugger change in facelift compared to exterior in a more modern way. So I feel they are going to keep surprise high till it get unveiled later 2025 or early 2026

The bigger change

Stars everywhere

They will probably offer star patterned underwear to ever buys the new S-class.
I mean they are getting desperate. None of these big barges are selling like they used to.. it’s fascinating how SUVs have taken over in the last 5-7 years…

I feel like bad road conditions might be to blame.. I’d rather rock an SUV as a daily and flog it around a little more than a lower sedan/ coupe/ sports car body style…

I understand that Kallenius is oriented towards favoring SUVs and giving a cut to the sedans of the future S and C classes

The road conditions are bad because of the big heavy SUVs and trucks and now EVs.

Side note. I doubt Mercedes would ever get rid of the S class. Even if it isn't a big seller.
Would be like Porsche getting rid of the 911 in favour of the Cayenne. It's an iconic part of the Mercedes brand.

They'd have it, sell it in lower volumes and just push it higher up luxury ladder. For example just making it permanent Mercedes-Maybach S-class.

C class getting canned in favour of the GLC? Maybe, but I still think the C class is a very very popular car overall. They might reduce the C and S offerings in the US; where everyone wants a gigantic malignant tumour on the road.

One more observation—- compare an S from the 70/80 hell even the W140 to newer offerings, didn’t they have a higher ground clearance? I feel like sedans in general are more low slung (along with getting fatter) for a more ‘sporty’ intent. This makes navigating bad roads/ steep driveways a lot more challenging.

It's as much aero as it is performance, but you're right. Sedans are lower than they used to be.

Yep the W140 had 5.9 (15 cm) inches of ground clearance and the W223 only has 5.1 (13 cm) inches.
