Loving the rims! Too bad they don't offer them for the standard S-class. It is interesting they opted for the stars as a blinker though. Didn't expect that. I was expecting more traditional aproach with the eyebrow

The light graphics appear 'trendier' than the pre-facelift and probably not as timeless. But hey, when you have the monstrous, grotesque proportions and bling of the 7, you need to do something to get a bit more notice. This is probably just on the right side of enough.

I am curious whether the shape of the front light housings will change or will they remain the same shape/size and only change the internal graphics?

The light graphics for the tail lights with the 3 pointed stars look up to the mark and inline with the E-class and upcoming MMA Electric model, but I think they not as classy looking as the current one with the small 3D vertical pins, which are unique to this S-class and not in any other Mercedes model. It loses the wow factor in my opinion.

Rearlights are going to be a slimmer version of the current ones. The idea I believe is making them look linear instead of triangular.

Mercedes benchmarking the FL S-class against the 7-series. Interesting.

I hope that is still room for updates before been introduced as Mercedes need to also put wood on the door panels and get rid of that ugly black shiny plastic.

That’s not new, they do benchmark all the latest offerings in the market. Sad that no new Audi A8 & Lexus LS, only other new one is Genesis G90
