S-Class (W223) Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) Facelift 2024

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013. Production: 2020- Model years: 2021-
The new SL’s still have electrical issues? Hopefully Mercedes can correct this and lower the price and bring that SL53 to the table. Otherwise the SL won’t see another generation which would be tragic.

With the way things are going, we are probably seeing the third last generation of the S Class. The Chinese might be good with their products, but its Mercedes that's been shooting themselves in the foot at every turn for the last 10 years that hurt the most.

The S class dies with Mercedes. AKA, it's not going anywhere.
Might be the only MB sedan surviving though. Do you see many W214s in Netherlands? Here in Spain the ratio vs the G60 must be 1 to 5 in the most optimistic case. And you can clearly notice the number of G60 on the streets is also way lower than the G30s back in the day.

I would not put my money on any sedan right now. Sadly.

BMW sells 25% more 5ers in Europe excluding the i5. Including the i5 is indeed a slaughter.
And I wouldn't call a 25% difference similar, that's simply a big gap no matter the twist.

This is indeed a big difference. I agree with you.:t-cheers:

I just checked in Switzerland it’s about 55% more 5er (including the i5) than E-Class.
BTW most of the 5er are ICE, 1141 5er but 386 i5.

The article @laylandi posted says the charge port is missing on the test car, where a charge port was located on the current S63 E.
It indicates that the mild hybrid system will be used. It also says the new V8 is "much more powerful." The S63 E-Performance stands at 802ps (791hp) / 1055lb-ft (1430nm), the torque on the facelift version most likey will drop but with the weight loss, it will help better the ride quality, and driving dynamics.

We are apparently getting two versions of the S63, which is fantastic news! Who really want's the weight and complications of the E performance version.

So there’ll be a base S63 with Mild-Hybrid V8 & S63 E-Performance with Plug-in-Hybrid V8?

I was told there will be two S63 variants. A further development of the current car, alongside a 'much simpler' S63 Variant. It would make sense for that to be a mild hybrid, but I don't know for certain. It was not mentioned.

I don't know which markets are getting what, but Australia will finally get some form of W223 S63. I really hope we get the simpler variant.

It's not the hybrid that causes the S63 problems , it's the absolutely insane price.

It's over 50k more than the previous model. And that is stupid.

The e-Performance is a replacement for the S65, which was also £50k (or more) more expensive than the S63.

Over here a non hybrid S63 will be vastly more expensive. Not to mention the actual replacement to the S65 will have a V12.

I struggle to find a reason for the e-Performance to exist when there's a choice for a regular S63 as well. I doubt it'll sell if they offer both, particularly when the non hybrid will actually be cheaper (as it should be) virtually everywhere. I mean it's not like people in this segment will be worried about fuel prices.

Now if only they also offered the choice between the grille of the S63 and the regular regal S class grille........
Remember the days where you could get an OEM 'undercover' E63 AMG? Good stuff.

The ultimate sleeper. Downgraded exterior looks and even lacking the quad exhaust. Genius, wish they kept this going (it sold extremely poorly sadly).
I have a new found love for the W212 btw. When it was on the market 10 years ago I didn't like the boxy look, but it was ahead of its time and I pray the new design direction for MB goes back to more angularity. I am sick and tired of all the aerodynamic pebbles we have now.

Says who?

S65 will be S65. V12. Ultimate luxury boat. It even had just rear wheel drive ( because it was not a truly performance car )

And S63 is S63. V8 performance version. 4Matic . And faster than S65.

Do you have to reply everything in contrary with what I post?

Jesus...Grow up
