I heard that the Mopf of the 223 has been delayed because of the tweaks of the interior.

Originally the black plastic shit should have stayed.

If it took them that long to figure that out, Lord help us. Customers have complained about it since the shit turned up in the W205.

I dont undertsand why their is such a disconnect between dealer level client feedback and decision making in Germany.

There was a big disconnect until 23, I was told.

Yes. The S-class ICE and EV versions will be launched on separate platforms.

Exactly my thoughts. There will be hardly any difference with the interior of an E class.

The trend has to run it's course. Which is what keeps legacy car makers behind. They can't pivot nearly as fast. I continue to say the Flying Spur should be the inspiration (not a direct copy) for the S-Class interior. Or a modern take on the W222.

Yes I am afraid we have to wait till the W224 before we get a much better upgraded interior. I just hope that the W223 MOPF will not have any black plastic trim on the doors and only wood or aluminium/metallic trim similar to the CLA. Otherwise except for the circular vents it looks to be a copy paste of the E-class.

If I had to bet, I would say the W224 will be closer to the W221. Just a feeling.

Possible. I’ve got a gut feeling it will go slightly upmarket. Just like the W140 did in the early 90ies.
