S-Class (W223) Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) Facelift 2024

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013.
The interior has no individual identity at all now…it’s largely a parts bin exercise, shame. Not sure what to think.

Merc1 Don't worry, my friend, the 2030 S-Class with its new design will feature lots of wood and a stunning console.

I have my doubts though - from what we’ve seen to-date, once an automaker is on the large screen/passenger screen trend, there has been no real effort to revert to reduced the space taken since it’s “supposedly” what customers have asked for. It’s also cheaper to integrate than wood & high quality materials.

Easy, the brand is at its lowest point in decades. I got quoted in awe by some of the most committed MB followers here for saying this in the recent past.

Also, does the W214 not have the same augmented reality HUD? I’m wondering why the large dashboard crater is still present in the FL S Class after 6 years. I thought that’d be one of the primary interior design points to address.

This interior is a massive disappointment and almost a boring copy of the E-class. The superscreen with the thin vents just cheapens the interior to a higher level than the Pre-FL, which at least has unique vertical metallic vent controls and a delicious wood strip on the passenger side.

Why didnt they use the new screen design from the GLC with the metallic vents? it looks so much better than this.

This facelift was designed ages ago, it's just been heavily delayed.

The combination of tacked on iPad for the speedo meter and EQE style hyper screen probably is the worst implementation of the current interior theme. Such a hard to understand shame.

No added wood will be able to fix this mess.
