The grill has gotten better but i love the rear lights
I like it.Realizing that I am most likely alone on this, I really would have appreciated a full width taillamp lightbar very similar to that of the EQS sedan.
That will probably be for the next generation.Realizing that I am most likely alone on this, I really would have appreciated a full width taillamp lightbar very similar to that of the EQS sedan.
This is false. Mercedes must have paid them off too!For interest sakes, (I just noticed mr. Mister is banned) AMS did test both the S500 and Genesis G90 and again as the results showed by C&D the S500 is faster and uses substantially less fuel. It is also lighter and quieter at high speeds and has higher speeds in slalom and evasive tests.

I mean this is fairly common knowledge at this point. I'm pretty sure I've seen some reviews out there which have the V8 GLS580 having comparable fuel economy to V6 Kia/Hyundai crossovers/trucks.The payments from Mercedes were higher than the ones from Genesis.

All true which is why the EV space is proving so difficult for them. Brands that had no chance at competing in the ICE space, now have new life and can fully compete now. Long dead and suffering brands and any new brand that can purchase and or build batteries and electric motors can now fully compete.I mean this is fairly common knowledge at this point. The Germans in general just have an enormous drive train advantage when it comes to ICE, over other manufacturers competing in the same space.
The difference will be in the overall package. The drive train calibration, electromechanicals, safety, interior, technology, range etc.All true which is why the EV space is proving so difficult for them. Also true. Somehow tho, I don’t think it takes much to impress a lot of buyers that, some not all of course. The difference will be in the overall package. The drive train calibration, electromechanicals, safety, interior, technology, range etc.
The metrics of what define a great car are different in an BEV Vs an ICEV
I think the thing that will impress buyers are cars that they can afford. In other words, wages need to realign themselves with inflation.... And that is a whole other conversationAlso true. Somehow tho, I don’t think it takes much to impress a lot of buyers that, some not all of course.

Altough the airsuspension of W222 was very good, the one on the W223 is noticable better, I’d even say much better. In the NVH departement MB managed to make a remarkable quiet car even quieter. At the same time, both feel rather nimble, as far as the concept allows.
The steering on the W223 feels different, when manoeuvring at low speed. As If it has less steering wheel rotations. The turning circle feels/is larger. In parking garages, the W222 was easier manoeuvrable, handling better at low speed. And that’s not, because the wheelbase of W223 is a bit longer than that of the W222.
The brakes are different. I trend to brake in a gentle, foreseeable way, so that passengers don’t notice it (I hardly ever have passengers on board, but that’s another story). It was very easy to achieve in the old one, hard to achieve in the new one. Can’t put my finger on it, what it is.
As a whole, the driving dynamics of the W223 are better than those of the W222 and in this regard I would take a W223 over a W222 without even thinking.
My spot on remark to the post of @sl123 was regarding the differences in operating system, controling the car. The new touch heavy system is inferior to the system of the W222, with it’s push buttons and idrive knob. Imo voice control isn’t good enough to level it out.
