S-Class W223 Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W223) Facelift 2024

The Mercedes-Benz W223 is the seventh generation of the S‑Class full-size luxury sedan, produced by Mercedes-Benz since 2020. It replaces the W222 S‑Class which had been produced since 2013.
Which is exalt what you’re doing. Is there like a point now?

The point? Experience speaks louder than endless demands for proof.
If that’s not clear by now, there’s nothing more to say.

But, because I’m cool, here’s a direct confirmation from a knowledgeable source agreeing with my real-world experience: in certain conditions, 6-cylinder S-Classes consume the same as V8s.
Just sharing the facts, as requested.

However, as I mentioned before, it’s already clear that even when I provide you with expert-backed confirmations of my personal experiences, you’ll just come up with excuses that it’s still not enough.
So, save us both the trouble and maybe try driving instead of arguing
it might teach you something real ;)

TBH If you have fixed budget, would you seriously prefer a naked V8 to a loaded I6 or V6?

For 17k€ you can get a lot of options. (450 to 580)

I am not sure how I would decide, especially in countries with speed limit.

V8 everytime. Or even better like i have now: V12 Bi-Turbo.
V6 is for housemaids. Even full equipment doesn't help here ;)

If you can’t provide any proof of your experience then you don’t have anything when trying to make a claim for a car company not needing and engine option. Such a claim has to be backed up and it doesn’t take a Gettysburg address sized post to do it. Circling the same old bs doesn’t change anything. Try again. This time come with some better made up, blurry nonsense from your previous posts.

LOL. You’ve made it painfully clear that no amount of actual experience will ever be enough for you — unless it’s yours. That’s not how logic works. That’s how ego works.

At this point, you’re not debating — you’re just deflecting. So keep calling everything 'made up' while clinging to secondhand data like gospel. I’ll stick to what I’ve actually lived.

And don’t worry — I won’t ask you for proof. You’ve made it obvious there’s none to give.

You’ve made it painfully clear you have lost your mind. Posting a conversation that you’re having with yourself that says the exact same thing you say? Good stick to it, I doesn’t hold water for anyone else but you. I didn’t make the initial, claim, you did. Try again.

Funny how you keep reminding me who made the claim, yet you fail to address the core: personal experience backed by repeated testing on multiple models and conditions.

If you can’t handle that, maybe it’s your own mind that’s lost in circles.

Other people, ie journalists who have tested also reported their personal experience and it’s different from yours. Maybe you can’t comprehend this. Try again. We addressed your claim at anecdotal junction, where you put your foot in your mouth. Your experience doesn’t set the bar for anyone else but you.

I’ve already shared my experience clearly, multiple times. It’s real, consistent, and based on direct comparison.

If journalists’ experiences differ, that’s fine — but it doesn’t invalidate mine.
Experience isn’t a contest, and yours isn’t the only valid perspective.

At this point, it seems like you’re just unwilling to accept any view that challenges yours.

And only relevant to you since others didn’t find the same things. What you have provided does not back up the sentiment of not having a I6 because it burns the same amount of fuel. It’s JUST YOUR EXPERIENCE, not a rule or widely accepted fact. Your claim about them not needing an I6 based your fuel consumption is invalid and just your opinion and yours doesn’t invalidate theirs.

I stand by what I said: for me, the I6 makes no sense in these cars. Worse acceleration, less satisfying sound, and in many real-world scenarios, the same fuel consumption as the V8.

That’s my conclusion based on experience, not just opinion.
It’s fine if others disagree — I’m not here to convince everyone, just to share what I’ve lived (unlike you, who only dream about theory and second- or third-hand practice).

If you can’t handle that, well… that’s your choice.
But don’t act like I’m making baseless claims when I’m simply speaking from firsthand knowledge

Your experience is just that, your opinion. Irrelevant beyond you. Coulda fooled me, repeating the same shit over and over. There is no third hand or theories give here. Only what others tested in the real world and you can’t discredit it no matter how you spin it. That is all that was said here. Try harder to discredit it. It’s you that can’t handle it after declaring me to not have a drivers license, to still be arguing with me. Your first hand knowledge is no different from others first hand knowledge. That is what testers do. You’re failing forward.

You keep calling it just “my opinion,” but it’s based on real-world experience across multiple models and years — something you clearly don’t have. You’ve been quoting others the whole time while pretending their experiences are universal law. That’s not objectivity — that’s lazy thinking.

And yes, I mocked your license earlier — because frankly, the way you argue makes me wonder if you’ve ever actually driven anything beyond a forum thread.

You keep pretending that quoting other people’s tests makes you some kind of authority. It doesn’t. It just shows you have nothing of your own to contribute.
I’ve driven the cars. You’ve Googled them. That’s the difference.

You can call it “just an opinion” all you want, but you’ve built your entire argument on secondhand material while mocking firsthand experience — and that says everything anyone needs to know about your credibility.

So no, I’m not spinning anything. I’m just not buying your loud, recycled nonsense. Go argue with someone equally theoretical — I’m done educating you for free.

And don’t worry — no one expects you to understand. You’d need experience for that.

Their testing is no different than yours, it’s real world. I’m not talking about other modes, only the current one. Again pay attention. You telling us what you found is no different from testers telling us what they found. The only difference is they aren’t here on the forum. That’s why they publish the data. You can’t discredit their experience with yours. Try again. Your opinion is secondhand to me once there is no verification of any sort beyond some bat shit crazy rambling with yourself. You have to bring education in the first place to educate. All I see a long winded fail forward expert.

And yet, despite all your noise, you still haven’t driven the cars — you’ve just read about them. LoooL.
That’s the difference, and it’s why you’ll never actually get it.

I don’t need to discredit third-party tests — they’re just not gospel, no matter how badly you want them to be. Especially not when my firsthand experience contradicts them in real, repeatable scenarios.

You call it rambling. I call it driving. That’s where this conversation ends — in the rearview.

Nope. Wrong again. I have driven every generation S except the W116. I just wasn’t checking for fuel economy, hence where actual testers come into play. So you’ve failed again. Your opinion isn’t gospel either. It’s only relevant to you. It doesn’t speak on whether or not Mercedes should or shouldn’t offer an I6. The majority contradicts your opinion. It’s just your opinion. Try again.

LOOOL
Ah, so now you’ve driven them too — just not paying attention to the very thing being discussed. Thanks for confirming exactly why your input holds no weight here.

My claim was based specifically on real-world fuel comparison under load — something you admit you weren’t even monitoring. That’s not a counterpoint. That’s absence of data.

You keep saying “majority” like it’s a shield. But majority ≠ truth. Especially when it comes from people reading specs instead of driving in real conditions.

You’re done, I’m done. Go argue with someone who mistakes consensus for knowledge.
