S-Class (W222/C217/A217) [Official] Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222)

The Mercedes-Benz W222 is the sixth generation of the Mercedes Benz S-Class. Body styles: W222 (standard), V222 (long), X222 (limousine, Mercedes-Maybach), VV222 (pullman), C127 (coupé), A217 (convertible). Predecessor: S-Class (W221). Successor: S-Class (W223). Production: 2013–2020.
MBC is not meant for the highway.
it works perfect on speedbumps.
but on little bumps on the highway it can't do anything, even at low speeds

The video also mentions Road Surface Scan works up to 130 km/h. MBC reverts to ABC then.

Looks like we have some discrepancies in facts here. Since I've owned the airmatic 222, I'll know for sure what MBC does at high speeds.

It makes sense I guess. When it's snowing, the road is covered. How many of us can tell if that puddle is a pothole or not when it rains. And forget it when it's foggy.
When you're going fast, you'll probably feel the road imperfections anyway.

I'd like to point out that MB doesn't go all out with its inventions when they're introduced. When they first offered distronic, it only applied the brakes a small percentage, and gradually worked on it till it braked fully, and now it's doing the steering, partially.

So yeah, they'll get there no doubt with MBC.

This is a highly impressive achievement so possibly in first 2 years of production the new S-Class will achieve sales of 200000 units and that is the sedan only. The coupe will only add more to this large number, job well done Mercedes!

I noticed two errors towards the end of that article, 1) they mentioned the launched of W220 60years ago laid foundations for latest S-Class, actually it was launch of W180 Pontoon in 1954 that started the birth of the S series although first official use of S-Class name was with the 1972 W116. 2) the previous W221 S-Class was not the best selling S-Class of all time, that accolade goes to the magnificent W126 sedan which sold over 818,000 units in its nearly 12 years life cycle.

Indeed an impressive achievement.

Yet hardly unexpected. The panache of the M-B brand paired with the rather dated competition being crucial factors. With replacements for the BMW 7 series, Audi A8 and Porsche Panamera pending, I would suspect that M-Bs' current strangelhold on the sector will be loosened-perhaps quite substantially. Not to forget the gradual exhaustion of the "novelty factor".

Congratulations! Ofcourse you will one among the very few and would b the first person to share your comparison experience here

I have been a silent member for past year or so. I got my S500 three months ago with MBC and I am not impressed with this particular add-on at all. Kratos-TM I will be waiting for your review of it and how you make it work.

Congratulations @Kratos-TM she looks like a beaut! Can't wait to see your driving review and comparison you have made with your previous car

Way to go Kratos-TM. I'm very curious to read your review Airmatic vs MBC. Unfortunately MBC can't be ordered on mine S350 Bluetec. Reserved for V8 and more only.

This reminds me of a few chromed cars from 80's DeLereon and 90's Audi A8 ASF show car but not too my liking you will have cars hooting at you when you in the sun cause you will blind everyone LOL! It's the antithesis to the cars here in Middle East that like the Matt finish paint jobs! Yak!
