As far as I know, your actual W222 S 500 does not has MBC on board. Or what do you mean to say?Looks like we have some discrepancies in facts here. Since I've owned the airmatic 222, I'll know for sure what MBC does at high speeds.
Mick, he sold his 'current' W222, and ordered new one, with MBC. His 'current' is without MBC.![]()
This is a highly impressive achievement so possibly in first 2 years of production the new S-Class will achieve sales of 200000 units and that is the sedan only. The coupe will only add more to this large number, job well done Mercedes!
I noticed two errors towards the end of that article, 1) they mentioned the launched of W220 60years ago laid foundations for latest S-Class, actually it was launch of W180 Pontoon in 1954 that started the birth of the S series although first official use of S-Class name was with the 1972 W116. 2) the previous W221 S-Class was not the best selling S-Class of all time, that accolade goes to the magnificent W126 sedan which sold over 818,000 units in its nearly 12 years life cycle.
Congratulations! Ofcourse you will one among the very few and would b the first person to share your comparison experience hereDealer just sent me a photo of my new Black Beauty! I'll be picking her up in the morning, and be sure to be looking out for my 222 MBC vs Airmatic ride review, for I believe I may be amongst a very small few who has owned 2 W222's already.....![]()

Is it actually legal to do this? I mean surely its quite dangerous for other road users. Imagine driving towards one of these on a sunny day...Chrome wrapped S-Class in India.
