Rabolo Red Metallic

Just changed my selection to Rabolo Red Metallic with Macadamia Leather on the GL. Went by the local dealer and they had one on the lot...great color and looks fantastic when the sun hits it the right way. This shot is from a post on one of the forums where I got the one above.

Re: Rabolo Red Metallic

No...I am buying from a dealer in Denver, Colorado on a custom order. The one I saw on the lot was stripped.

Yes the color is beige. Here is a not to good a shot of it without the wood wheel and premium leather.

Re: GL class pic thread

Good to know you're custom ordering your car now Jack, I remember your S had some options that you missed.

Yes...I did not want to wait on the S Class any longer and they were really having build delays last April. I will have to wait on the GL but it will be complete and I have the S to suffer with until it arrives...:-)

New Color pick

Here is the Obsidian Black Metallic with the Macadamia Leather interior. Just like the one wimmer drove above.

Test Drive at Red Rock Canyon

4matic handled great in the desert...headed for the mountains...:D

Re: GL-class Picture Thread

Shot these today...temp was 34 degrees! Who says the desert is hot to live in...:D

This is a GL450...there were no GL 320 CDI's on the lot. I may be changing my color again. The Arctic White looks really good to me and better than the black ones they had on the lot.

Re: GL pic thread

The GL does everything the ML does, but the ML does it better because it's the same thing w/ a sportier dynamic than the clunk-a-hunk GL. Hopefully MB will get it... someday.

That's true that the ML is more sporty than the GL but you are wrong that the GL is 'unsporty'.
I raced yesterday a black GL420 CDI on the Autobahn at full speed and boy this car is fast up to 240 km/h (~150 mls/h) !

It was not easy to overtake it from 60 up to 130 mls/h ( I have a 330i ). I thought at first, that the GL will slow down on some curvy parts, but I was suprised that that wasn't the case. The driver of the GL was also taking the curvy parts with high speed. I thought 'Jesus, will he take off?' but the GL behaved very stable and linear, even on curves and bumps.

I must admit that I'm still really impressed how fast this car is. The GL is a
real eye catcher from behind and also in the back mirror when such a big monster is tailgaiting... :D

Re: GL-class Picture Thread

Jack, The pics in white are great--I'm getting the chrome deal on the front so that may make it look even better. My color anxiety level is starting to go down!

I also will have the chrome on the front and rear and yes it does make it look nicer. Post some pics when you get it.
