EQC Before World Premiere in Heat Testing #switchtoEQ

Mercedes gets serious with the EQC production model - and will bring it onto the road starting in 2019. The debut is already fixed, but not in Paris. Instead the EQC may celebrate its world premiere already in September in Stockholm, Sweden.

Mercedes is going to have a lot of new SUVs in the next 6-8 months: EQ C, GLE and GLS. Possibly the GLB too.

Buyers will be utterly spoilt for choice. The only problem for the dealers is that they still have to sell other Mercs to get big bonuses :D

From one of the reports I read this one will be delayed. Mercedes needs to up their game in the Electric side of things. I was hoping the A class would get a hybrid electric version or a full electric but nothing.

Audi offers an electric A3 but for most private buyers it’s not a financial sensible purchase as the 1L or 1.5L versions are a third cheaper to buy, are punchy and have impeccable real life fuel economy.

This is the problem with electric or hybrid hatchbacks. They are too expensive to make economic sense.

This is going to be a great car, with awesome styling.

I really can't wait for this and the iX3. Time for electric Germans.

Not anymore since I believe Mini is going to make electric cars in China? Where did I see that?

The reported delay was 6 months. No big deal. And there’s an EQA in development.

^^
The proportions are spot only. Slightly higher ride height would reduce the impression of a battery belly that's about to drag on the road like a overweight dachshund.

Yes. There will inevitably be more hatchbacks with electric or hybrid drive train. As the cost of batteries come down, they will become more economically value for hatchback consumers who are generally very price sensitive.

I was hoping the interior would be more differnt it looks like the centre console between seats is like the GLC.
