E-Class Mercedes Benz E-Class Coupe Facelift

The Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured by Mercedes-Benz in various engine and body configurations. Produced since September 1953, the E-Class falls as a midrange in the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five generations.
I agree it looks too compact. The front looks still quite different compared to the E AMG Sedan. The bumper is rather traditional than like the new E AMG. The the front fender has BS-like flare and the line on the fender looks like not there. Why I said that is because to me, from this bad quality pic, it looks different and better than the E Sedan. I did not say it is the other thread, but from the pic of the E AMG Sedan, both the front and the rear look very good, but they are just so different, one is angular the other is rounds, that they don't fit together. E Coupé is already one of my favorite current Benzes, and this one as AMG version, could just make this car almost perfect.

Clarifying the doubt ;)

Which doubt? Yes, now we can clearly see it is the E Class and not the CLS. But now it looks rather like E Sedan than E Coupé.

My question is, does it keep the ponton wheel arch look or does it go straight like the E sedan?

Yeah, thats definitely E63 AMG Coupe. At least the front splitter is a lot like the one in C63 Black Series. I think that is too aggressive for regular AMG styling.

It looks like it keeps it, what is a good thing IMO.

So it is not yet known if the Coupé and Convertible will be available as 63 AMG or not?

AMG version of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Coupé discovered during photo shoot in Spain
Actually, it was at first glance a rather unspectacular image - an E-Class Coupé, though the facelift version, which was taken at a photo shoot in Spain.

A second look at the photo and the actual design of the car, however, brought it straight to the point: the design, the spoiler and 19" wheels showed that this is the AMG version of the updated E-Class Coupé. The E63 AMG Coupé was previously not offered, and has also been denied by those in charge at Mercedes-Benz.

Due to the fact that the image was taken at the photo shoot for brochures, the AMG version is thus almost confirmed already. The E63 AMG Coupé will also feature an AMG-specific front bumper and double blade sports grille, as well as the standard 19" tires.

The engine will probably have around 557 PS and 800 Nm of torque from the M157 DE 55 LA, however, if a performance-oriented all-wheel drive is used, we can not say. Google translated from MB Passion

Might just be a normal 'E' coupe with AMG bodykit, I don't see any 6.3AMG badge on the front quarter panels.

New radiator grille with soft nose as explained in April 2010. :)

"The Mercedes Shooting Break concept car is based on the great tradition of a stylish, cultivated sportiness which has always characterised the great Mercedes Coupés, and it takes this unique legacy an exciting step further," explains Professor Gorden Wagener, chief designer at Mercedes-Benz. "At the same time it points the way towards the future design idiom of Mercedes-Benz."

The vocabulary of the design idiom includes the contrasting play between lines and exaggerated areas, which combine to create an animated area of interaction. The expressive design of the front immediately catches the eye, using elements which are mindful of the SLS AMG super sports car, and with a radiator grille which for the first time has been designed as a "soft nose" and is not integrated into the bonnet. This contributes to better pedestrian protection and at the same time also helps to improve the focus on the long, sporty bonnet. The grille is dominated by the large central star, highlighting its relationship to the other Coupés of the Mercedes brand. It is supported by bionic, curved grille slats. Their curved design is reflected in the expressive look of the front apron and air intakes.

I'm so excited about the this E Coupé facelift, especially about the AMG version. Some so to say 'insiders' continue claiming there won't be any AMG version, something that I find impossible as Mercedes will need such a version once the current C Coupé AMG is gone. The pic is of to bad quality to identify whether it is an AMG Package or an AMG Version. For me it looks to aggressive for a package only, and the front fenders look almost Black Series flared.

SPIED: Mercedes-Benz's Refreshed E-Class Coupe & Cab Caught Red Handed
We've been keeping close tabs on the updated Mercedes-Benz E-Class' new look. That's because we wanted to see exactly what Mercedes wanted to change.

Its one of Benz's best selling products, so, it's intriguing to see just how far the brand with the three-pointed star is going to push it.

Now, we're starting to see a bit more detail with its E-Class coupe and convertible. Though we've seen images of the coupe, this time is a bit more unique as it's the FIRST time we're seeing the cabriolet AND some of the new details are emerging.

Take, for example, the new one-piece headlights, the front valence with MUCH larger front air intakes, and the all-new wheels. There's a lot to see in these shots if you just look close enough.

At first I wasn't so sure about how this update E would take form, but from the subtle hints starting to emerge, I think this will elevate this vehicle to a new, classier level.

Now will this "E" coupe share the exact same headlights as the proper E class sedan?
