CLC-Class (CL203) Mercedes-Benz CLC Thread

Mercedes-Benz introduced the C-Class Sport-Coupé (codenamed "Peanut" ver. CL203) in October 2000 as a three-door hatchback coupé, based on the regular W203 C-Class. The SportCoupé was spun off into its own separate line called the CLC-Class in 2008. It is succeeded by the C-Class (C204). Production: 2008-2011.
Crappy Little Car?

Hell, no, was a joke...I like the CLC, even if it is overpriced.
So...

Classy Little Car. Much better.

:t-cheers:

Well not for me. Would take the CLC in a heartbeat (and yes, I drove 120d and SC 220cdi, so I know what I'm saying).

The CLC just looks so much more upscale, the interior more premium, it looks like a bigger car. And I don't like the look of the 1er...at all.

for me its total opposite, I pick a 1er in a heartbeat. To each his own (as usual)

You as CLC fan, Im surprised that you dont know what CLC stands for? :D

Nothing wrong with the interior in 1er. Top on that you get a driverorinted dashboard. Only thing I find intresting in CLC is the speedocounter and reevcounter, that looks up-to-date. Other than that I keep my interior for its simplicity and ease to use. Only complaint I have is that the compartment store is small in my car.

Now that is a gorgeous 1-Series interior! :eusa_danc

Come on cawimmer430, help me, what does CLC stand for?

Karma given to the person who give me the correct answer (provide with a source) :)

Re: Edmunds: MB CLC

Even if that is true still they could've redesigned it or made huge refreshment to the old,i'm really disappionted here MB is not a chinese or indian car maker for heaven's sake it's the world's first car and the leading premium brand they should know better than this.

I agree with you.

However I ain't too "ashamed" of this because Mercedes already said in the beginning that this car would essentially be a major refreshed CL203. :usa7uh:

Plus, the facelifted W203 interior has its merits. It's well made and the materials are decent and feel premium. I don't think most people will actually care if the interior was newly designed or not. Most likely the people buying these cars will be first-time Mercedes' owners meaning the interior design (new or not) is possibly the least important priority on their list. :usa7uh:

Easy: Cute Little Coupe.

Honestly, I think it has no meaning.

Was does E mean? Extraklasse maybe... What does C mean?
I know S is Sonderklasse (exceptionnal class), SL Sport Leicht (sport light), SLK Sport Leicht Kurz, G Geländewagen (all-terrain), but do you think GL is for G Leicht?? :D

And ML, what does it stand for (well, M, because the L was added to please BMW)? Mmmmmhh Leicht, maybe. Or Mud Light, but that's not german.

I think it's called like that to appear like a small CL.

I could be wrong, but from what I know the letters has no more meaning, they had once but not any more. Now they are here because of alphabetic order, or to link the car to another. Only the K still means something, Kurz (short).

i don't think we'll see this in the US. The nice thing about the C-coupe was backseat room. It had just as much rear leg room as the 4 door sedan. No way the 1er has that kind of back seat space. So, I'd say overall room will be very good. It doesn't look like a 6' man can get his knees in the 1er, with that bloated center stack.

I'd be real interested to see the content of the car, and how much standard equipment. The front is fabulous. The back, errrr, not so.

I have had 2 adults in the backseat of my 1er (Hatchback version), (even three adults but then its getting really cramped). I have no idea 6' is in centimeters but two adults fit in the backseat of a 1-series (but neither of my passengers are taller than 180 centimeters though and they arent fat either).

PS Baskeball players wont fit :D
