C-Class Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a series of compact executive cars produced by Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque's line-up until the W168 A-Class arrived in 1997.
Mercedes OM651 diesel is really long in the tooth now and it's lagging behind Rivals engines by far especially the C220 CDi, now will be 15kw behind the upcoming 320d BMW and also will be 10kw at least behind the upcoming Audi A4 2.0 TDi. When are Mercedes going to bring out a new more powerful engine to replace this dinasaur?

^ Let's just start with the first one you mentioned, the C 180 CDI. :)

W204: C 180 CDI .......... 88 kW, 300 Nm, Euro 5, consumes 4.9 liters/100 km
W205: C 180 BlueTEC .... 85 kW, 280 Nm, Euro 6, consumes 3.8 liters/100 km

Following discussion on MB Passion, folks seem to like the new one, due to it being smooth running and economical.
Agreed, the OM651 may be a bit long in the tooth, but many "issues" have been worked out, and it's now turned out to be a decent, albeit maybe not too competitive, workhorse.

The pano roof. :)

BTW, for model year 2015, the fixed third row sunroof in the GL was deleted. :)
Perhaps due to some issues with the interior sunshade?

Thanks Mr. Wolf!! The C180 Bluetec uses considerably less fuel than the previous C180 CDI, but surprised it produces less power/torque. Good to hear that it is smoother and possibly due to the lighter mass, it should be quicker than previous version.

Do you have any performance stats on the new C180 and C200 Bluetecs?

^ The versions with manual transmission are expected in June. That's when the performance stats will be released as well. :)

"Outlook - C63 AMG S-model can be ordered in October
Mercedes-Benz will launch in June the sales release for the C 180 Eco, and the C 180 BlueTEC and the C200 BlueTEC with manual transmission are also expected in June, while the automatic variants of the two diesels may have their sales release in October 2014. The C 250 BlueTEC 4MATIC and C 300 BlueTEC Hybrid may also debut in June, followed in October by the C 400 4MATIC and the C 63 AMG with its S-model, which may be named the C 63 AMG S-model."

The T-Model (to be used for Tourism and Transit, that's why) started production in Bremen in 1977. Der Landgraf took a picture of the oldest one alive, with 401,000 km. :)

Wait, do they mean to say that the oldest of the W123 has done only 400,000 kilometres? Wow. That is the best example of a monday issue...

The back lights on both cars look fantastic, so elegant. I like the ice white colour it makes the car stand out for sure!!

MB Passion published some specs. :)
