I expect BMW to pull ahead in the short term with the 2-Series, M3, M4, 4-Series Convertible and GC all due this spring/summer. Then Mercedes will come back in the fall with the C and GLA. Dealers don't have many CLAs to sell. The S-Class changes over to the 2015 model year this spring so there will be some push in numbers there once all variants are out.

I expect the 2-Series to really TAKE OFF once people see it and relatively reasonable price.

Furthermore, the new X5 should gain traction shortly, and the X3 facelift coming later this year.

Looking at the BMW and MB numbers, seems like the entire ~4,000 difference is down to the CLA and E-class. Where on earth is this E-class sales surge coming from?

Is there a supply shortage for the S-class, because they're selling more GLs than the S. Funny. :D

I'm not sure, but maybe some of our resident sales people can chime in. The CLA, E, S and GL will have to carry the torch until the GLA and C arrive. The ML and CLS facelifts should help this fall also.

I believe MB is experiencing a difficult supply situation on a global level for numerous models including the A, CLA, M, GL, E and S. The GLA and new C will likely join that list very soon.

No Audi sale numbers?

This year will be interesting to see what they will do against MB and BMW.

The clones are coming

Interesting numbers:
6er YTD(includes GC):5717
A7 YTD:5116.
CLS YTD: 3899
The best performer in this segment is clearly the A7.
