The S-Class has been selling right around 1900 units a month, but the coupe arrived last month so they got up to 2666 units. A huge number for a car that has an average selling price over 90K. The GLA is increasing every month, CLA holding stead. E dropped big last month, but the C-Class was way up.

Most BMWs were up except the X3, X1, 5 and 6-Series. X6 is dead in the water pending the new model.

Its neck and neck between these 2, but what about Lexus are they right behind BMW and Mercedes or still far behind this year?

Update on the U.S. sales race for 2014.

BMW - 298,212
MB - 296,382
Lexus - 271,510
Audi - 162,773
Cadillac - 154,600

Some notes: MB sold over 9K units of the new C-Class, haven't see that many sold before in one month. Lexus sold 880 units of their new RC Coupes. MB S-Class sold 2863 S-Classes, a huge number for such a car. BMW 3/4-Series is huge, over 14K sold. It is going to be a photo finish again this year. BMW has a 1830 unit lead over MB going into this month. Audi has pulled ahead of Cadillac as Cadillac continues to slide downhill. We finally have Alfa Romeo back in the U.S. market, they moved a whopping 22 units last month lol. I personally can't wait for them to offer more models here. I is such a great time to buy a car, particularly a sport or luxury car.

Wow it is a close run between BMW and Mercedes, let's see what happens once this month is complete

I'm not sure if the car makers will report 2014 year end results today or Monday, but I'll keep checking. The BMW and MB race I'm sure came right down the wire with cars literally being given away to top one another.

Lexus, meanwhile, is growing faster than either of the two Germans, but its 12% rise to 247,445 units places Toyota's premium brand 2511 sales back of BMW.
