The car is a work of art. I would buy it even just to look at in a gallery style garage.

That's a highly imaginative spec that makes the car resemble a 1970s concept car of the future.

Hats off to the owner.

I can understand BMW's interest in McLaren Automotive about 10 years ago. But today? Not so much..
If this really happens it would have the same effect for BMW as the Rover purchase. Just another sandbag in the baloon that can not take off. All efforts should be put in EVs, but it seems in Munich no one can comprehend this (even if this rumour is not true).

Surprisingly yes if you compare the HyperCars from just a few years ago to the F1. The F1 had a low overall drag of just 0,57 as its frontal area is only 1,79m2, which is much lower than most cars as it is both low at 1,14m and narrow at 1,82m compared to a Veyron which is 1,204m H x 1,998 W.

“The overall drag coefficient on the standard McLaren F1 is 0.32, compared with 0.36 for the faster Bugatti Veyron, and 0.357 for the SSC Ultimate Aero TT, which was the fastest production car from 2007 to 2010. The vehicle's frontal area is 1.79 square meters, and the S·Cd figure is 0.57.”

I don’t have the dimensions for the Speedtail except read that is narrower than the P1 (1,947m) and just 1.12m at its high velocity setting. Also read somewhere that it’s CD is approx. 0.275, so it should reach 410kmh easily.

If you don't mind, can I please ask you to jog your memory and perhaps recall where you read that 0.275 CD figure. I'd really appreciate it and I've looked everywhere. Many Thanks!

Sorry for the off-topic, but what happened to the 4-seat GT? It goes well or it fails, I never saw or heard anything again.....
