Titanium nitride looks like gold; is used as a super hard coating on tools (specially cutting tools like bits)

I think it's being sold under the Show or Display exemption. So you can only drive it 2500 miles or less annually, but it bypasses some road legality requirements.

I can understand Kinder-eggs, probably because they can get stuck in the throath, but I don’t see why sitting in the middle of the car should be potentially more dangerous than on the left....

That's not correct, Hassan. They are perfectly legal here in Florida. In fact, what is illegal, by state law, is for any entity, such as a homeowners association, to prohibit a homeowner from installing them.
I have neighbors with tons of them on their roof already for many years, and I've been entertaining the idea myself (i.e Tesla battery packs + solar roof tiles or panels).
