Maybach 57/57S Maybach 57S Coupe by Xenatec first production unit emerges

The Maybach 57 (chassis code W240) and 62 (chassis code V240) were the first automobile models of the Maybach brand since its revival by DaimlerChrysler AG (now Mercedes-Benz Group AG). They are derived from the Mercedes-Benz Maybach concept car presented at the 1997 Tokyo Motor Show. The concept car was based on the Mercedes-Benz W140 S-Class sedan platform, as were the production models. The models ceased production in February 2013 due to continued financial losses for the brand, with sales at one-fifth the level of the profitable Rolls-Royce models.

Now make a convertible version of the coupé and it will be one of the most valuable future classics in the world.

This was a really interesting car. Maybach should have officially produced this and made it part of the lineup.

Is it just me or every Maybach has "cheap" number font on instruments? I don't know how they managed to achieve that "cheap" look, I mean it is Mercedes.

btw. I double posted to separate this from pictures.

This truly is a spectacular looking car and should have been made from the start. Maybach should have used the really luxurious looking coloured leathers and woods from this in their saloons. It looked so much nicer than what Mercedes achieved.

This is what Mercedes must redo in it's Maybach brand cars. Bring out a luxurious interior like this.

Yeah current Maybach lineup needs a Coupé like this along with it’s Cabriolet version, a ground-up flagship sedan (bigger than S-class) & a ground-up flagship SUV (bigger than GLS)

If Mercedes were really want to bring in a cash cow to town then they will need to go all out with a bespoke Maybach range to challenge Bentley and RR.

Mercedes-Maybach

In November 2014, Daimler announced the revival of the Maybach name as a sub-brand of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class (W222), positioned as an upscale version akin to the more sporty Mercedes-AMG sub-brand.
