Martinbo, you might like it as well

WR blue with gold wheels is too cliché; the car calls enough attention to itself already anyway.
So true but I would have supported you if you got those colors. It's got such a history! :t-drive: (if I had numerous cars, I would go for the color)

I'm with PoscheGuy...the blue with gold does have a long history...that's their rally colors for god sakes. But if you don't like it well thats obviously your choice...my dad's friend has an '04 in silver with some prodrive upgrades

The blue with gold is a good look IMO, but just not something I want for myself. If I did get that setup, though, I'd probably get gold OZ Superleggeras or Ultraleggeras.

IMO a Subaru Impreza should only be blue with gold rims, just like ours! I dislike the car in almost every other color I see.

Wow...congrats. You got yourself a F!#$ing awesome car. That is one of my fav. cars right there, well actually the Type R Sti version is...but that's the look. I know you guys are going to tune the crap out of that car...but might I suggest getting your hands on the Type R boxer engine from japan? That is the shiznit to work on...and can take a crap load of beating.

I want to get that car...i'm going to be getting a car in the near future. Probably sometime this summer. And the 2.5rs is on my list.

If you know prices and places from which to import from, I'd be glad to hear it!

Is the interior of the 2006 of any change from the 2005?
There are minimal differences, but they are there. The design of the seats is the biggest difference I think.

congrats mate, you have bought yourself more than a car, you have bought yourself a beast :D , with golden claws.

Now klier...don't tempt me.

Alright you did. I've talked...and as far as i understood there are two different engines that are badass. One is the Type RA engine. I think its a normal 2.0 sti boxer but thats where every similarties end from other 2.0 sti engines. Sti went crazy with it and created a monster. The other is the STI special that was released in 99 I believe. that was the 22b. That engine is crazy as well if not more then the Type RA. STi type R and the 22b are one of the highly regarded japanese cars because they were crazy fast everywhere. You can take those to the track, on mountain roads or off the mountain roads, they'll go everywhere.

As for prices, well for the Type R engine, it's around 2500 us dollars and the 22b costs a little more because it's very hard to come by, it's around 4k to 5k...very pricy I know but if you're a modder then its not a crazy amount.

4-5k for the engine is probably unnecessary to pay. The 22b was a great car, but you could probably match the performance of its engine by spending less money on the one in your car already.

Damn! I missed the wonderful acquisition of rally-bred superhero track burning monster. Hey klier and dina-niet: Super congrats guys, I hope the Prezzy gives you tons of pleasurable, sporty driving. Gonna take her to the 'Ring?

Awesome. Oh and Carbon, I'm off to your STi thread now...

All these lucky buggers and their new rides; here I am on the bones of my butt trying to get a new business running and check you lot. Boy. It's tough.

Happy for all of you nevertheless!

Thats not really true carbon. The 22b is a badass for a reason. it came with lots of extras but the main point was reliability. You might be able to match its performance for 4-5k but that would be for the newer sti but not that one, because that engine was made for that chassis. That 5k is probably going to be 2500 in parts and 2500 in labor, thats not even going to get you half the things that are in the type-ra engine or the 22b engine. But hey...get whatever you feel like.
