The issue I have with Chinese Electric cars is that they all look and feel like an appliance. There is no soul, They are competent and functional. Some Western manufacturers have started to take this route.
The Lynk which was driving past me is huge but it’s a bit like a Range Rover sourced from Temu.

I am going to assume that rather than careful aero balancing and drag reduction, the engineers from BYD will achieve the higher top speed through excessive electrical power.

Who knows ? VAG and Xpeng have joint venture cooperation agreements and VAG has a small approx. 5% stake in Xpeng. Interesting is that a number of recent Volkswagen China production near concepts feature floating roof designs, as does the new Xpeng P7. And much indicates VAG extending and expanding cooperation with Chinese partners such as SAIC, FAW and Xpeng.

Well with +3000hp they beat the Chiron SS (1600hp) by 6km/h only so i guess the focus was massive power ^^
