Leak patent image: 1er 3-door

Yeah, the 1 series hatchback is going to get the 306 hp version of the I6 turbo this time around (the same engine as the new F30 335i). So not only for the coupe and cabrio like the previous generation, but for every 1er. And it will not have 320 hp and it will not be called 140i. And the 135i will not be a 4 cylinder.

^ Me too man, E87 130i NA I6 is an all time legend. And with M pack/Performance just absolutely stunning to look at and a billion times better than the F20:

Agggg so true.

I hate when a car looks worse than the previous generation one. What a shame.

I do generally like the new face, I admit from some angles it's abit iffy, but im sure we all can agree the interior is a massive improvement on looks alown, and from what I have read quality also

I'm quite happy with the way the new 1er drives. It's not the last word in feelsomeness but the interior is a big step up in the segment. The new 128i is going to be a cracker of an all rounder - provided you can make it to the car from your front door with your eyes shielded. I'd buy the new 1er no problemo, but, looking at my track record of car ownership (aesthetics-wise) this can only be taken as a negative. :D

That old 130i on the other hand - one of the most unlauded cars I've ever had the privilege of manhandling - is a future classic in 3 door form, of which I'm certain.

In 5-door form too, but 3-door is better indeed. I posted pics of the 5-door because it's fully specced with Performance parts and just so freaking awesome (it even has a Performance short shifter)
Anyways, one of my all time favorite Bimmers for sure! Can't even start to explain how much I love this car :D

Because it is really that good, and the last NA I6. The 130i was also the most reliable car.
