Joy is BMW.

Where did I say that?
You didn't. I think it's funny that some seem to point out all the time that the current M3 wasn't influenced by the latest technical changes (what a groundbreaking finding...), yet they seem to believe that this independence is set in stone. It's not and we should be aware of that.

Ha ha ha...Groundbreaking Finding. :D

I think the superficial paintjobs that M has been putting out recently (M3 and M6) does more to tarnish M's image in my mind than the pair of trucks.

///M I thought the letter ///M was meant for MOTORSPORT.

Give me one reason what an more than 2000 kg with a turbo engine has to do with ///M MOTORSPORT.

This what betty says just milking the brand.

It s OK if ///M Motorsport stands for new brand ///M Marketing or so. But just make some real ///M Motorsport cars under a new name. Use the old name for milking then.

We can t have have nice screaming high rev 6 cil like the CSL but we can have X5M trucks.
Yeah guys jump for joy we are efficient dynamics we at bmw are green as greenpeace.

What a laugh bmw can t fool me with there marketing bull. It s about time we driving enthusiasts get something special and under 1300kg and a proper race engine not some kind halfbaked ag engine with a turbo and pay premium.

The new M5 if made with a turbo from x5M is just an ordernary AG car. Even if it it would have 700hp. I thought the horse power was was over. BMW slogan rather 1000kg than 1000ps.

///M is selling out were it once stand for. ///M Motorsport.

They are going for the easy money way. Milk milk milk and the people who made ///M big are left for dead. They can buy trucks and 1500kg plus cars and turbo s h i t e!!!

AdvEvo I agree with you.

I have nothing against the X5M and X6M but if the next M3 is going the turbo way it wont be the car for me. Probably my ex E60 M5 will be the last real M engine bought all new from BMW. What's left for me is second hand only if they stop building NA Ms.

I have been catching up on the reviews for the X5M and how they compare to the X6M. And by all accounts the X5M is the preferred M SAV.

But with these reviews being commenced by the same journalists who lambasted the X6 with terms of "pointless" and a "niche" too far it actually looks like they allowed their blind prejuidice towards the X6 feature in their reviews.

Really? How can this be? I thought that for an M car the X6 was far better choice.

Well, since none of them, even by a stretch, could be called sporty cars for sunday mornings, they have to bring something else. And in that context, the X5 is more practical than the X6.

I would, however go for the X6, as practicality should never be a consideration when it comes to cars for driving enthusiasts.

Would the Edition models have been more acceptable had they only been offered in the standard colours?

If they offered it in standard colors/trim what would be different?

If they wanted to offer more color/options, they should have just offered it as options on the standard car.

Well they do. They offer the Individual program, but not everyone has the money to be spending that kind of dough, not to mention most people just lack imagination that's why they prefer "special" crap from car companies.

I kind of agree with you on this, but honestly though, I have more of an issue with these "specials" in general rather than just the paint job.

The thing is not too get too joyful in a BMW...

I don't know about you HOH, but that would've been pretty joyous to the BMW driver, not so much for the other car owners. :D

^Yea...thing is they have him on camera. So when he gets the bill for those to other cars the Joy will be gone.
