I liked it more than the dreary BMW 3-series, but is it, I wondered, significantly better than the much cheaper Ford Mondeo?

^lol i would have ripped on the bmw fans for him liking the benz more than the bimmer..but damn that last part of that quote just ruined it..
it showed that he is a nutter

Exactly I mean it's like speaking of nothing. What is the bloody need to put the Mondeo into the pictures.

I think he is making fun of the fact that the Ford Mondeo "beat" the BMW 3-Series in some biased British review. Sarcasm, that's what it is, I think. :eusa_thin

Because he has always been a Ford poster boy, since Ford gave him a free Escort RS Cosworth back in 1993.

^^
Yeah the Brits love the Mondeo were as the rest of Europe prefer the Passat.

^

Yeah, but the Brits now love the 3-Series (The 320d to be specific) more than the Mondeo.

If that was a road test, I'm Angela Merkel. And the picture was not a Sport but in fact a Luxury/Elegance, obvious by the grille but even more so since that color is available only on the C300/280 not Sport.

I like Clarkson's stuff but as a road test writer, he gets a failing grade.

Yep, that was a really sh#thouse review.....hope he does (if he does) a much better job on Top Gear.

It could have been any Mercedes in that review, pretty bad he said nothing about how it was to drive. Although you don't read JC's reviews to find out how good a car is, it's just a funny read!

Jeremy Clarkson is just entertaining, as it Top Gear. For serious car reviews, they are the wrong place to look. Clarkson's biases are also very apparent. :usa7uh:
