January Update: 2011 and Beyond... Part 1

Looking very forward to Parts 2,3 and 4.

Don't keep us waiting too long, SCOTT !

I honestly thought you have gotten used to this.

Well, I had for six months but everybody has their weak moments. This is just a minor blip then I'll go back to ignoring him again. He's a virus that needs keeping in check, and I'm the medicine.

I just don't think Klier should feel like he's got the run of the forum and can just spout nonsense whenever he feels like it without backing up his claims. He talks about having no time for "purists" yet he says the M3 is not a proper M3 with a V8. Well.....why Klier?

TBH, I don't really care what engine the M3 will have, it will turn out fabulous anyway. BTW Scott or someone, could you tell when the new 3er is appr. released?

IN Part Two it will concentrate on the BMW Premium Compact and Premium Entry segment . BMW's FWD compact series, The BMW 1er and BMW 3er, BMW X1 and BMW X3 and X4.

In Part Three we will touch on the Core BMW Premium luxury models - BMW 5er , 6er and 7er. BMW X5 and X6.

In Part Four we will look at the other BMW sub brands - BMW "M" and BMW "Z" and finally Rolls-Royce Motor cars.

Hello Scott,

When can we expect to read the end of part 2 (X family) , part 3 and 4 ?
Always very much appreciated, keep going :eusa_danc

^ A high-revving engine with 10 throttle valves - one for each of its cylinders - capable of ingesting bathfuls of air in minutes. Knock-sensing spark plugs, 100 million calculations per second. 8000 rpm, spine tingling soundtrack, unmatched throttle response...

Why on earth would you ever want such an engine in an M5? Quite simply it's just too much Joy for most to handle. Same goes for the two-cylinder less M3. A shorter, lighter, more powerful V8? This doesn't belong in an M3, oh no. Too much damn Joy.

Heaven help us if we got too overJoyed. BMW would have none of that.

Sure, klier, whatever you say... :icon_roll Actually, let me guess: an M5 with a V10 is no M5 either, right?

And let me guess; you study history and like dragging dead old cows out of the pond??
:eusa_doh::eusa_doh::eusa_doh:

Martin: soooo witty!!!

Sheesh klier, why you so lemon-lips pal?

And this dragging dead cows out of a pond thing? Man that's some metaphor you got going there...

At least you realized it yourself that your comment was exactly like a dead old cow on the bottom of a pond. :D:usa7uh: But I guess it was meant to be an April Fool's prank anyway. ;) And no, I don't study history.

It would have been if he'd written it on the 1st April. Amazingly it was actually written on the 4th Jan, as you've probably got your date set to the US format.
