F-Type Jaguar's F-Type Coupé - First Drives - EVO, Autocar etc.

The Jaguar F-Type (X152) is a series of two-door, two-seater sports cars manufactured by British car manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover under their Jaguar Cars marque from 2013 to 2024. The car's JLR D6a platform is based on a shortened version of the XK's platform. It is the so-called "spiritual successor" to the E-Type.
I think it was Monster who actually suggested that but it's not dangerous just that was cold and damp as it usually is here until late May you can't use much of the M5's performance. But even then you are still making considerable progress down the road.
No Bob, I didn't suggest that, however I did suggest this

Unlike yourself I don't live in a world with fairies and unicorns and god knows what else. In our world facts and logical thinking matters.

You spin faster than the wheels of a M5 on damp road.

You are right Giannis said 'death sentence'.

I realise Australia has a very unique wildlife compared to else where, you sure you don't have fairies and unicorns.

If you get a chance to drive the new M5 I'm pretty sure even you will light the tyres up on a damp surface without even meaning to such is the huge amount of torque available so early, it's the nature of the beast.

Are the F coupes available in the states yet?

I guess they are, at least the TV commercial advertising the F-Type having the lease price has been airing for the past 3+ months here in SoCal. I just checked the local dealer, yes they are: Available in F-TYPE, F-TYPE S, and F-TYPE V8 S. MSRP for the F-Type V8 S is $92000, that's 20 grand cheaper than the M6 Coupé.

Yes we do, you can see them in the zoo.

That is besides the point, we are just discussing the inconsistencies of your 'opinions'.

Another glowing review for the F-Type Coupe! It's like mini Ferrari F12, but more accessible and it's a fantastic sports car. Although the Cayman and 911 are brilliant, they are perhaps are bit too well groomed and familiar while the F-Type is more of a maverick that will make you feel like you own an exotic. For its price, there is not many cars like it - the closest alternative is the V8 Vantage, but it's now an old car.

I really like his revieuws, there should be more like him.

People can say all they want, the F type is a gorgeous car and will age like few others. Even in ten years people will still look at it and find it beautifull, it doesnt matther which one is faster or has a better handling, the beauty of it will out live all of that.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and therefore very subjective. It absolutely does matter how well a sports car handles and accelerates however. And with all due respect to Centurion, comparing the F-Type Coupe to a Ferrari F12 is just a little bit of a stretch. And I mean rubber-man type stretch, as in give me a break.

Off course it matters how well a sports car handles and accelerates, but what I mean is that in ten years from now people will forget about the tenth it will lose to 60 mph compared with the competition. They will still see it as a really beautifull car whereas (and I really like that car!!!) an M6 for example will be an old BMW. Like I said the beauty of it will out live all of that ;)

And yes beauty is in the eye of a beholder, but one cant argue that there are cars which fewer or more people will like, this one will be...(y)

It will be a very small niche of Jag lovers in 10 years, max. The car is very heavy and has a thirsty, ancient engine.
It's eye catching now, but won't be for long. Just like the XK is horribly old looking by now, and I don't even think that one is 10 years old yet..

And an old M6 is still an old M. Which means FOREVER awesome.

lol what did I just read? When did you join the British press Luw??

You spin faster. You didn't read it properly.

Saw one driving the other day. The car is pretty rare here, but I have to say it is a stunning piece of kit.

I have seen quite a few of these cars here in Qatar and they really are stunning looking cars, the rear view is most impressive with the large shoulders and low back window and thin back lights. The front is nice and has lovely short squat overhangs. The car actually is quite smallish in real life. I like it a lot! But I am always a
Porsche man and will choose a Cayman S or GTS and 911 over this if given the choice!
