Jack Hits the Jackpot!

I was scanning some of my old albums and came across this shot from January 2005. The first night I hit a royal flush for 4000 quarters ($1000) and two free Jackets. The next night I hit 22,000 nickels ($1100). Not a bad couple of nights at all. Last Wednesday after lunch I decided to play a machine and hit it for another 22,000 nickles ($1100) after only putting $9 into it. In the meantime I have probably donated twice than much to the casinos cause

Thought you might enjoy the pictures since the dollar bills turned out pretty good. I didn't have my 20D at the time and this was taken with the S230. Just goes to show a P&S can provide excellent results.

Congratulations on the winning streak!

Between 1986 and 1992 I lived in the Sacramento area and went to Tahoe about 3 weekends per month. I also had a streak of nice wins once (thousands) followed by one Christmas Eve disaster when I lost more than I had ever won. After that I never gambled again.

Yeah guys...it's nice to win but those are the exception. I don't really gamble, I play the games...that win above was shortly after my wife passed away and I swear she was sending me a message of some kind. We never had two nights like that in a row all the time we lived here. I eat at this one casino quite a bit and always have a $20 or so handy to try my luck.

Last week I was playing 18 nickles a spin and hit three gold coins for 10 free games at triple pay. The machine on the 3rd spin hit 5 Gold Coins (max) and paid 7000 nickels times 3...the odds for that to happen have to be out of sight. I told the lady next to me they will trash that machine after I stop playing...))) But in the end they get it back...:-(

I really don't gamble...I play the games. I am not a fan of video poker which people spend hours playing and losing on. I play the crazy kid games with all kind of bonuses and once in while get lucky for a nice payoff. Sometimes my $10 lunch ends up costing me $50 but it's entertainment for me....)
