Having let the launch hype settle down I've found that I'm more than happy with my iPad 1 and don't need to upgrade to the new one and as far as competition goes I'm really liking the look of the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 and the ASUS eee pad transformer.

So tacky. Cases are overrated. The Smart Cover isn't worth having either.

^ I have two smart covers, both leather (black and white-ish). Like them a lot.

Yeah I have a blue one as well but I find it gets in the way more than actually being of any use. It's not sturdy when used as a picture frame and I find it more comfortable to type on it horizontally instead of a slight angle.

I use it only has a nice stylish cover when it's in my backpack. I always take it off when I use the iPad, and the stand is not to be trusted, like you said..
