Lucid "Introducing Lucid Air Sapphire: The Pinnacle of Electric Performance."

Lucid Group, Inc. is an American manufacturer of electric luxury sports cars and grand tourers headquartered in Newark, California. Lucid vehicles are designed in California and manufactured at Lucid's factory in Arizona. The company was founded in 2007. Since April 2019, Lucid has been majority-owned by Public Investment Fund, the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia.
I think that the Air's magic is that it truly is usable as a regular sedan. Insane amount of cargo space, LWB S Class levels of rear legroom, but it is slightly smaller than the Taycan in almost every dimension. Having a 4 door car with no rear seats is ridiculous. Not to even mention the range difference.

Quite mind-boggling how complicated things end up being when you use software to make things simpler.

Holy cow it must be so frustrating experiencing all those glitches in a car that costs so much money. I am very surprised Lucid sales have not dropped due to these frustrating software and hardware glitches.

Still haven't finished his video but we have run into some of these issues as well. The frunk was misaligned when I got it so wouldn't open all the way. They had mobile service come to my house and fix it, and they put on the bear stickers for free as well. Also the door handles don't recognize the key sometimes for 10-20 seconds, I've gotten drenched in the rain because of this. Also I hit a deer last week so that doesn't help.

If you buy the first generation of any product, especially the first ever car for a manufacturers, you need to expect glitches and problems. This is very normal.

Did the deer cause much damage to the car?

I am a little bit surprised that you as a BMW Fan got a Lucid.

I’d always rather buy an i5 or i7.

I'm a BMW fan because I like fun to drive cars that are well engineered. The Lucid is 5 inches shorter than the i5 but the interior room is more comparable to the i7 and it has more luggage capacity than either.

I don't think you can even turn traction control fully off in an i5, I went thru 2 sets of rear tires already and it has only 15k miles on it. It is one of the most satisfying cars to drift other than my E30. I like driving it hard and drifting it more than my F87 just because the steering feel is so much better and natural. Probably the best steering feel in a modern car other than a Porsche.

The i5 and i7 have terribly numb steering, they are bloated because of cost saving measures, they have like 200 miles less driving range, and they charge slower. I've owned E28, E34, E39, E60, G30 (numb but at least it was beautiful and had a nice interior). I would never buy a G60, I just don't see any appeal.

Yeah I don't mind the glitches too much because I love driving the car so much. My problems are nowhere near as bad as EngineeringExplained's.

I was going 55 and it jumped over a guardrail and smacked it in the corner and went flying, didn't slow the car at all it felt like I had ran over a large pot hole or something. Car is getting towed to the shop tomorrow, lets see how it goes.

I'm glad you are ok. I had a friend who one hit a moose. It was so heavy that it flattened the A pillars. My friend got a concussion and had to go to sleep before 2000 for ten months.

Oh deer.....

At least you've got meat for Christmas.

No kidding, a Moose is as big as five of those deer....
