Holy cow it must be so frustrating experiencing all those glitches in a car that costs so much money. I am very surprised Lucid sales have not dropped due to these frustrating software and hardware glitches.Quite mind-boggling how complicated things end up being when you use software to make things simpler.
Still haven't finished his video but we have run into some of these issues as well. The frunk was misaligned when I got it so wouldn't open all the way. They had mobile service come to my house and fix it, and they put on the bear stickers for free as well. Also the door handles don't recognize the key sometimes for 10-20 seconds, I've gotten drenched in the rain because of this. Also I hit a deer last week so that doesn't help.Quite mind-boggling how complicated things end up being when you use software to make things simpler.

I'm a BMW fan because I like fun to drive cars that are well engineered. The Lucid is 5 inches shorter than the i5 but the interior room is more comparable to the i7 and it has more luggage capacity than either.I am a little bit surprised that you as a BMW Fan got a Lucid.
I’d always rather buy an i5 or i7.
Yeah I don't mind the glitches too much because I love driving the car so much. My problems are nowhere near as bad as EngineeringExplained's.If you buy the first generation of any product, especially the first ever car for a manufacturers, you need to expect glitches and problems. This is very normal.

I'm glad you are ok. I had a friend who one hit a moose. It was so heavy that it flattened the A pillars. My friend got a concussion and had to go to sleep before 2000 for ten months.I was going 55 and it jumped over a guardrail and smacked it in the corner and went flying, didn't slow the car at all it felt like I had ran over a large pot hole or something. Car is getting towed to the shop tomorrow, lets see how it goes.

Lucid Responded To My Critical Review
I leased a 2025 Lucid Air Touring, and within the first three months of ownership, I experienced quite a few issues. Some hardware issues, some software bugs, and some software design issues I wasn't a fan of. I outlined these issues in a video, expressing my disappointment with the car, which I was quite excited about (see links below).
Lucid reached out, and put me on a call with Emad Dlala, which I greatly appreciate, as they certainly didn't have to. They walked me through why I experienced some of the issues I've experienced, and told me about what issues they were actively working on corrected, in addition to the issues they have already fixed.
Lucid also mentioned upgrades that will be coming later this year in 2026, regarding UX 3.0, a complete overhaul of their user interface, as well as Vehicle-To-Home charging, which will enable using the Lucid as a backup power source in case your home loses electricity. I look forward to experiencing UX 3.0, and hope I am able to install their V2H kit to use my Lucid Air as a whole-home battery backup.
