The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a battery electric compact crossover SUV produced by Hyundai since 2021. It is the first product to be marketed under the Ioniq sub-brand, and the first model developed on the Hyundai Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).

To adapt the car for Pikes Peak, new shock absorbers, motorsport-spec brakes, 18-inch Yokohama ADVAN 005 slick tires, and a unique high-downforce aerodynamic package have been specially applied. Additional safety enhancements include a Recaro Pro Racer SPA Hans seat, Sabelt six-point Hans safety harness, a PPIHC specification roll cage and an EV fire suppression system.

EVs are perfect for hill climbs. Instant torque and not having to worry about over-braking and having to spool up to the peak torque range.
 
Hi guys. I bought an ioniq5n some weeks ago and i have to admit it is a fantastic car. It is faster than a urus performante. Even faster than a huracan. And it is really fun to drive. It is ideal as daily driver. Cheap compared to anything else with this performance. Very roomy interior. Autonomy is as you can expect from an ev with 650 hp.
If you compare this with a tesla model S The tesla is just crap. The brakes and suspension are by far not comparable with the 5N. Ok the plaid is faster in a straight line but it costs twice the n5 and you have to select better suspension and brakes if you want it to drive a bit comparable.
Why are the sales figures so bad? Because women/ people don’t like a car that looks like a lancia delta. Most people want porsche ferrari lamborghini badge on their car….
Hyundai you should not mention it to your wealthy friends they will think you went bankrupt!
It is purely a matter of charisma which is a pity but i do not care… i never did

If I was in the market for an EV daily driver, it would be at the top of my list.

I think the car is just ahead of its time with respect to automotive enthusiasts picking one over an ICE equivalent, and like you said, the badge/brand unfortunately matters more than it should to most people.

What color is your 5N?
 
Taycan is at least double the price. And the fake sound and shifting works really well in the Ioniq. When we went for a testdrive my son declared all that fake is nothing for him. When we were 5 minutes in the ioniq he was the biggest fan. Nowadays all the supercars use fakery. The urus. In strada you hear a soft rumble from the back. You shift to corsa and all of a sudden the much louder engine sound comes from the front??!! So the sound is simply enhanced by the speakers even in a lambo! So what is wrong then if hyundai does it? The only thing i regret is the brakes. The urus really has fantastic ones for such a heavy car. I ordered race brakes from neotech in Korea with a driftstick for the ioniq5n

Yes you can choose the volume. Choose in or out. It has also 2 speakers outside😂
In all driving modes you can choose and programme it on one of the N buttons to switch it easily if you want

Only the ice sound works great. The 2 others are annoying
