"Toyota has announced that its booth at the upcoming Japan Mobility Show will be called “Let's Change the Future of Cars - Find Your Future”. Right.

If we’re honest that’s completely meaningless, but Toyota has also let slip that an all-electric sports car concept will be shown for the first time at said booth. Now it has our attention.

We don’t know that much about the FT-Se just yet, but that rear three-quarter shot looks very promising indeed. There are GR badges too, and Gazoo Racing is on one heck of a roll with its Le Mans successes, the GR Yaris, GR Corolla and GR86.

Toyota says this is a ‘high-performance sports BEV’ and that it could be "one of the options for sports cars in the carbon-neutral era".

There’s a little look at the cockpit too, where we can see a racey square steering wheel, digital dial displays and a McLaren-style portrait infotainment screen. We’re also told there’s kneepads to protect your legs "from G-forces during driving".

Oh, and there’ll be an all-electric crossover called the FT-3e on Toyota’s stand too, but do you really care about that when there’s a new sports car in the works?."

You can see in the dash its not mid-engined or mid-battery placement.
Its the new Celica! Coming 10 years from now...

I've read a few articles they're thinking the 473hp unit from the M4.

As for limited runs etc, can't say.
Yeah, makes sense for BMW to keep the high output version exclusive to M. I'd be happy with any S58 in this chassis. Another part of the deal could be it's only a limited run. Either way this could be one special car.

Yes. This exactly right they have up until now. I never knew anything about it I'll be honest. I started the thread because of the initial car. But it's all good. Don't talk about Toyota much!

GR is doing great things. An S58 Supra would be glorious with RWD and a manual.

And this EV concept looks great too. Plus I saw the new Prius last week and it looks just eons better than any other Prius, it simply is a great looking car now lol. And it's pretty fast.

Toyota is hugely popular in developing and under developing countries. I wonder if they will genuinely stop selling ice on some of those markets by 2035.

I don't think there will be as much demand there for a six figure EV land cruiser or hilux compared with its predecessors.

In 10 years we will maybe see the production version?
Why would it be so long?
Just fantastic:
