Prius [Hot!] 2023 Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius is a compact/small family liftback (supermini/subcompact sedan until 2003) produced by Toyota. The Prius has a hybrid drivetrain, combined with an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Initially offered as a four-door sedan, it has been produced only as a five-door liftback since 2003.

The hidden rear door handles reminds me of the Alfa Romeo 156. Except that unlike in the Alfa, the handles in the new Prius won't break, because, well it's a Toyota.

Oh shit... I probably pissed off a lot of italiani right now.

Built in that Italian part of Japan…. AICHIIIII 🍷🍕🇮🇹

Was about to post this on the same subject, lol

It's the Purosangue for the poors (like me). Looks like Toyota decided to fill a niche. Where do I sign up?

It's a funny coincidence isn't it. I wonder how the cars ended up with a highly distinct but similar front-end. We saw nothing of the Purosange's front end during testing. Furthermore the Prius design would have been signed-off at the latest 12-18 months ago.

It's rather similar to the sf90, especially the line in the side profile, and that car has been out for some time. I was actually pleasantly surprised. This is good design, especially compared to the new german bottlejobs, which were quite disappointing.

I like.
Just get rid of that shifter. It's everywhere now.
I think the 2nd generation had the best shifter.

The angle of the front windscreen is quite extreme. It's as raked as that of a Lamborghini Diablo:

Yeah, I noticed that too; pretty much a straight continuous line from the headlights all the way until the B (!!) Pillar. Even more extreme than the Diablo in some sense because on the Diablo it ends with the A Pillar.
It's part of why the design looks so fresh and sleek. The whole packaging of this car is on another level by the looks of it. The Germans do not have that in this price range. A class and 1er are just cheap mass produced FWD econoboxes *cough entry luxury sorry*, and VW ID line is way less sophisticated looking imo.

Also a stark difference between this Prius and the new Impreza, which by the looks of it leans towards cheap fat econobox like a BMW 1 series.

Toyota is on a roll.

I'm really curious to see how it drives and how usable it is (interior space, boot), because it's a looker and for me a winner in its segment. I never thought I would say this from a Prius !

If you check Thomas video he mentioned that headroom is a big tight for his 189cm frame but rear legroom seems good. The boot seems decent but maybe a little shallow.
