296 [Hot!] Ferrari 296 GTB - New V6 Hybrid Supercar for 2022

The Ferrari 296 (Type F171) is a two-seater, offered as a GTB coupe and a GTS folding hard-top convertible. Production: 2021- Predecessor: Ferrari F8.
For myself and other owners I know, it really is of no concern. I know it sounds silly but losing $200k USD on a car doesn’t really matter to many of the owners that buy these cars. The 296 drives incredible, looks incredible. It’s my favorite Ferrari I’ve owned. I’ve lost a lot more money than $200k on things I didn’t enjoy.

That's a pragmatic, and for most owners, a realistic way of looking at it.

If you are buying these cars speculatively and depreciation starts to cause you sleepless nights, you shouldn't be buying one.

I'm just worried about sourcing fuel...Better get on top of those Hormuz negotiations.

Jk jk. 🤣

It's not silly. It's a 100% reasonable thing to say. If you have it, have worked hard then spend it.

Like you said, we all choose how to spend our money. I have a friend who prefer to spend it on cars than 2 expensive Starbucks coffees, frequent meals out and weed.

Interesting and generous battery coverage if you buy the extended warranty. I wonder whether Lamborghini, Mclaren etc will mirror this. The warranty is not cheap. However more often than not the battery packs aren't free for the manufacturers but are R&Ded and supplied by a 3rd party:

GCF’s fourth 296 has arrived in Grigio scuro. I’ve only put 40 light miles on it but will be back with more pics and thoughts soon. First impressions are-
Surprisingly comfortable for cruising
The haptic controls are a borderline disaster
(Ferrari says I can swap for a speciale steering wheel so I may do that )
The v6 is melodious at idle as well as on the highway
Definitely in love with it

BEAUTIFUL vehicle. Congratulations!

If you don't mind the cost, get rid of the steering wheel ASAP. The vehicle is otherwise sublime in all respects and I look forard to hearing your thoughts.

Enjoy safely.

Just in time for summer. Congratulations! Ferrari did wonders with the sound engineering of that V6(mini v12).

Super congrats and many happy miles and smiles. What a gorgeous machine.

Congratulations. On the Speciale wheel comment from dealer, I wouldn’t be so sure. Amazing to me how conflicted dealers get their information. I’m told it’s just the haptics replaced with physical buttons. The speciale wheel is reconfigured with a red ceramic starter button. I don’t think that’s available but hope I’m wrong as I’d like that swapped as well.

Thank you! Will let you know when I find out more details

Stunning cars gents! Beautiful specs by everyone.

First impressions @trader1?

@Jo_Sta7 the Rosso if fire on this pretty car!
Ty buddy. First impressions are as follows:

positives-
engine note
pulling power with the car remaining well planted
exterior styling
suspension is pliable even when not in comfort
exhaust sound, I don't feel the need for an aftermarket one
Initially I liked your wheel design better but these grew on me fast to equal yours
also I no longer want dark or black wheels, it's nice to have these "OG" aluminum alloy type ones
the engine bay cover has just the right amount of tint
axle lift comes in very handy
the buckets recline and are comfortable enough
the zippo lighter style keys are epic
The color is somewhat unique in ferrari-land
there are more but this is what comes to mind now

negatives-
haptic controls are an epic fail but as mentioned there is a solution
not much else beyond that

From my and other enthusiasts opinions who have driven the car its an exceptional ferrari
some call it the piccolo V12
My buddy who is an avid collector swears this is the best one he's driven
chassis stiffer than an f8 and by others accounts the car is more emotive as well
I just saw an 812 parked next to a 12 cilindri and realized the next purchase will likely be a modern classic
maybe a 355 B stick. Rossa corsa with tan interior would be something!

Your wheels work beautifully with that opaco paint. Also, completely agree with you on pretty much all the points raised. The steering wheel is a disaster, but as limited as my experience with vehicles like this is, to me it drives near flawlessly. You could daily this car with ease, despite its searing performance.

Thank you ! Yes the versatility is remarkable. Sick car
