Reliability issues are not uncommon for Ferraris. Owners winge less about them in order to not piss off the holy church of Ferraris. Alternatively they own several supercars. Therefore, if one has an issue, they just drive a different one.I heard some weird rumors about possible reliability issues w/ the V6 engine...Checked Fchat and didn't really come across anything of note, based on the drivers' feedback. Anyone in the know?

Electronic gremlins or not, one of the prettiest cars on sale today, if not THE prettiestNo engine issues im aware of. Plenty of electronic related issues but the car is wired by Italians.

Thanks, I always wondered what safety mechanisms these fancy things have. No, they’re mechanical. There’s a locking pin in them. They’re rated for 6500 pounds each.

That’s terrific info. Thanks very much.So basically the idea is for them to be as strong and low maintenance as possible. When it raises there are loud clicks and those are the lock engaging at each height. There is probably a locking point every 4 inches. So figure 18 of them. The locks start engaging at about 2 feet. Max theres 8 feet of clearance under the lifts and my garages are 14 feet tall.
Once you’re at the desired height you lower it slightly to take the pressure off the hydraulics and make it purely mechanical. The locking pin engages automatically and it’s in a place that you need to make an effort to get at. Can’t be bumped by a child, for example.
The thing with a sensor is, they fail.
Nice and safe like elevators/lifts that carry people. My GF is afraid of lifts. I once told her that accidents where lifts fall from a top floor and smashed down into the basement are almost unheard of.So basically the idea is for them to be as strong and low maintenance as possible. LolGo watch "The lift" with her.
A Dutch 1983 classic with a lift on a killing spree believe it or not. She will not ever enter one again LOL, I couldn't when I was a kid because of that f'ing movie.
perfect curves
Beautiful indeed!
How comfortable is the 296 in terms of road/wind/engine noise?
I'm looking to buy one next year and I will drive it on long road trips but I don't want another very noisy car like my AMG GT.
I saw this green in summer and got hooked.
