Lovely spec. Love the Daytona seats with the contrast inserts. Are the stripe inserts Black or Chocolate Brown?

EDIT: Just re-read your post and saw it's black.

ok here we go.

1. I think it is good looking. The coupe is my preference aesthetically. The car needs a metallic color. Flat rosso corsa does not do it justice. Rear 3/4 is gorgeous. But in Ferrari red, it’s a bit boring and flat. The front is underwhelming.

2. sounds good. Very good tone. Builds with revs. Never very loud though.

3. haptic stuff is cool. I don’t hate it. It’s the future.

4. passenger display is awesome.

5. car is quite comfortable even without bumpy road pushed. It’s got great pull, but never feels violent. I don’t think this is a 9 second car and I don’t see it as a sub 5 second 60-130 mph car. Maybe 5.5 seconds 60-130 is where i see the car and I have some good experience with this sort of stuff. The acceleration feels nowhere near as violent as the 765 LT. It also feels heavier than the 765 and less responsive to inputs. Overall, just a calmer driving experience. I think I could daily drive this car, easily. But is that ever really practical? In my experience, no.

6. I’m 6’3 210 pounds and the cabin felt fine to me as far as room and comfort. I would recommend getting a tan interior though to brighten things up. Like I am.

7. order the race seats, the comfort seats suck.

8. if you come from something like a 458 speciale and are expecting that fizz, you’ll be disappointed. This is a more sedate, grown up Ferrari. Just is. Perhaps it’s playful too when really opening it up. But at slower speeds, it’s just a nice place to be without being wild or intimidating.

Am I keeping my order, yes. I think this is a spec dependent car, aesthetically. It needs a metallic color for depth. It has a true breadth of ability that is respectable. There is a ton of capability with this car. From E mode to full on Qualy mode. Etc.

However, there was another car there that was tugging on my heart strings. I can’t stop thinking about how much more fun this would be to drive and own. But the prices have gotten absolutely stupid and again, 765 makes it’s performance irrelevant.

Does the same not apply to 488/F8 and Huracan?

If you know the drill, they need to reach their target first and sell couple of thousands of the tamed version, before they launch their limited track focused model.

each successive generation feels more tame than the last. The E mode however puts this in another category.
E-mode is like an extreme equivalent of eco-mode that many premium cars have.

It makes the 296 exceptionally daily usable but I don't think it has a material impact on why people will buy the car or the number of miles that they will do in the car.

The F8 and 488 are easy to daily but there are plenty of examples that have only done a few hundred miles over 3-4 years.

Some will barely get driven. Just like every other Ferrari.

Collected my 296 GTB yesterday. Only taking her steady for the first couple of days and not had her in full fat Qualify mode yet. as others have said, I do think it’s very color dependent. I am biased, but I think it looks fabulous in Blu Corsa.

off for a two day tour of Wales next, so will get chance to drive her more and see what the full 820PS brings.

Congrats! Give us an update on your drive in Wales. I am keen to drive my car there one day and welcome recommendations on scenic and relatively quiet roads.
