Come production version, I doubt the headlights will look this slim, doubt the the aggressive vents will be same cause it is too high and doesn't seem to allow for a crash structure underneath, I doubt the fancy side skirts will survive the wind tunnel. I also doubt the roofline will be that sleek either. I think the first step in a seven step salvation for German car design should be stop making f#cking unrealistic "concepts".
"90% to 95%" has been elaborated by Audi "insiders". A remaining 10% that leaves room for modification that is presented on a production car can equate to a significant alteration of an automobiles aesthetic. Although it may seem that "a few millimeters here and there" are "not crucial", they, in reality, very much are. So far, I absolutely love the concept. And I am bracing myself for disappointment when the production car is presented.

I have just realised that there's one technical problem with this concept car.. Look closely at the front and you will see that both fenders and bumper are one piece. There's a line between the headlight and wheel arch but there's no second line anywhere else

It's just sad putting this concept next to the EQS. The difference is so huge I cannot stand what MB was thinking.

I can take a bit of consolation from the recognition that Audi concept cars are often (while not always) quite accurate reflections of their future production offspings. The eTron GT and eTron Q4s' are the most recent examples. Alas, I do fear that some elements of the A6 eTron will be modified more extensively thus making it a less accurate reflection of the concept in comparison to the aforementioned. Hopefully, Audi decision-makers will not tamper with the cars' dimensions (L:4960mm/W:1960mm/H:1440mm) as they are IMHO ideal for this category of automobile. Especially "narrower and higher" will significantly diminish the cars' visual appeal.

It looks gorgeous for sure but at the same time it looks like it weights 3 tons. Where is that "ecology"?

Indeed, it does look "heavy" and very...substantial. There is an element of its' character that somehow remotely reminds me of the W223 S-Class (substantial, monolithic, uncontrived...).

Nice...albeit it "safe".

Audis' A6 as well as A5 Sportback have long been a major players in the upper-executive company car segment. Should claims of impressive range be warranted, the A6 eTron will become the darling of company fleet managers. Prerequisite will be an Avant version. And an extended wheelbase version for China will be a given, I suppose.

I see it too lowered to be like that in production, rather it seems ready for the track

Word has it that a China-only version of the A6 eTron is scheduled for production at Audis' (in collaboration with FAW) new PPE assembly facility in Changchun. The car, similar to the recently presented A7 L, will feature an extended wheelbase and notched rear roof area that will flow into a separated boot. Official presentation is tentatively scheduled for sometime in 2024-following the 2023 introduction of the EU/North America/U.K. versions of the A6 eTron Sportback and Avant.

Cold , i like it. Something about the Audi brand and design language is so damn electric it’s a match made in heaven. If vag is to make one of their brands totally electric, this is the one.

Rumours are indicating a "significant" Audi presentation at this coming Februarys´ 2022 Geneva Auto Salon. Innuendo ranging from a production-near Q6 eTron concept-to a fast-tracked (due to M-Bs' EQE) production version of last springs Shanghai Motor Show A6 eTron Sportback or an A6 eTron Avant "concept of the concept"-to an A4 eTron concept. Or perhaps an Avant version of the eTron GT ?

Haha, so many concepts... can't wait! :D

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
