Comparing the A6 E Tron spy shots to the Polestar 5, the Polestar is definitely a lot lower and sleeker and reminds me of the first A7 a lot, while the A6 is taller and rounder. The A6 is looking a bit better than earlier spy shots, but I think a lot of it's corners and busy front end will be bulbous looking.

Should current innuendo prove to be accurate, we can expect the Polestar 5 to be "punching higher" than the A6 eTrons. In terms of power output as well as price. Rumours indicate the base, single e-motor Polestar 5 producing approx. 445 kW while the dual e-motor top version will boast some 665 kW. Of course, that may be exceeded by a full-fat RS version of the eTron. Starting prices are expected lie somewhere "north of 100K Euros". As for exterior dimensions, much indicates that the Polestar 5 will be longer as well as lower than the A6 eTron.

We should know a bit more in a few days time when the Goodwood FoS commences.

2024 Audi RS6 E-Tron Could Become The EV For Gearheads
The all-electric Audi RS6 could pump out as much as 800 hp thanks to four electric motors

Audi has been spied putting the next all-electric RS6 e-tron through its paces once again, and while there aren’t all that many EVs that get us really excited, this is definitely one of them.
We first received word about an electric Audi RS6 in late January when the company’s design boss Marc Lichte confirmed work on the model. It didn’t take our spy photographers long to snap the car being tested, most recently in the wintry conditions of Northern Europe.

The prototype you’re looking at in these images is a sedan. That may seem rather strange at first given that the current combustion-powered RS6 is sold exclusively as an estate. However, Audi will sell the electric version in both sedan and estate guises that will be inspired by the A6 e-tron Concept and A6 e-tron Avant Concept respectively.

The similarities between the A6 e-tron Concept and this prototype are immediately evident. It has a near-identical shape to the concept. We can see very similar LED headlights to the concept as well as a similar lower front grille area. Unsurprisingly, the digital wing mirrors of the concept have been replaced by traditional mirrors on this prototype but it’s certainly possible the production model will be offered with cameras. Seemingly denoting this model as an RS6 are the red brake calipers.
Curiously, the bodywork of this prototype doesn’t appear any wider than the original concept, leading us to believe that this isn’t the body of the production model. Indeed, Licthe confirmed just a few weeks ago noted that the A6 e-tron Concept had a “narrow body” design and that the RS6 e-tron would have a much wider stance and be “very wide, and very sporty.

It is understood that the Audi RS6 e-tron will be underpinned by the VW Group’s PPE electric vehicle platform, also set to be used by the Porsche Macan EV. Preliminary rumors suggest the car could rock four electric motors combining to deliver around 800 hp.

this car is taking ages to launch. When will it be revealed? Audi is slow to launch new models. We still waiting for the A4 to come out

@klier what you think of the bonnet shut line?

A year late but better late than never lol.
Bonnet shut line is decent. W213 AMG style, where I first saw it on a modern car. Or like the new 7er. Still doesn't hold a candle to how it really should be done (like a BMW 5er/3er)

As for the car itself..... major Kia/Hyundai vibes. Doesn't even look like a sedan, but more like a giant Model 3.

It would be amusing indeed if BMW and Audi both adopt near identical split headlight solutions. Talk about lack of design leadership.

Meh. Still better than designing one car for the next 25 years, like Mercedes did. These split headlights do look terrible though (on the 7er as well sadly).

The thing with the split headlights is that some manufacturers are doing them just fine. Putting the main headlights on a vertical style inside the air intake certainly helps IMO.

To me the question remains the same: why do the headlights need to be so thin? I do dislike the new 7er front end but, if BMW had removed the main headlights, I would still believe the remaining part to be too thin.

The Q6 Sportback should be presented by sometime this coming fall. And what would be the chances of an official presentation of the A7 Avant + sedan by the end of this year ?

The electric replacement for the D5 A8 ??? An "if and if so...when ??" question.

And by the way...What has become of Marc Lichte, who left Audi a few months ago ?

Audi

Audi AG is a German automotive manufacturer of luxury vehicles headquartered in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germany. A subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group, the company’s origins date back to the early 20th century and the initial enterprises (Horch and the Audiwerke) founded by engineer August Horch (1868–1951). Two other manufacturers (DKW and Wanderer) also contributed to the foundation of Auto Union in 1932. The modern Audi era began in the 1960s, when Volkswagen acquired Auto Union from Daimler-Benz, and merged it with NSU Motorenwerke in 1969.
