GMA Gordon Murray T50 and T50s Niki Lauda

GMA is a British maker founded in 2017 by Gordon Murray. It builds analog, V12-powered hypercars like the T.50 and T.33. Official: GMA
The front in this video looks like the F1 part deux
That's the one issue I have with this car. It's the F1 - reimagined by its creator - all over again.
But this time... it's got a fan. In the back. [Said in a Clarkson voice]

Clarkson is not a fan of the McLaren F1.

I like the very low front screen, which the F1 also had. It also has other design features from the F1. But it doesn’t have a retro-design, it just looks like it was designed in the 90’s and that is it’s biggest fault IMO.

You should get your ass up here for Goodwood. It's only a 173 hour drive.

Outside of shows or events, I've seen one in the wild, and even that was still at Silverstone (in the paddock car park rather than being exhibited). According to google they're not as rare as some modern Mclarens. Probably the rarest car I've seen out and about (that isn't rare because it was a sh!t bucket or just unpopular) is the Jaguar XJ220. At which point there was probably about 20-25 on the road in the UK, compared to the estimated 55 Mclaren F1's at the moment.

Fun fact, my first car is, apparently, rarer than all the above mentioned cars now... with only 6 still on the road... they would very much fall into the sh!t bucket and unpopular categories though :D
I've also seen an XJ220 on the road but no F1s. I've seen a 250GTO in the flesh but only in a showroom through glass (not at a show though).

I saw the XJ220 once 15-17 years ago, I was driving just outside Oslo and by coincidence I passed a used-car dealer, I decided to have a stop since I saw they had a Ferrari F355. The dealer was closed but I went to the back yard where there was cars parked and there it stood; a stunning silver Jaguar XJ220 just parked a long the other cars. I was shocked! I guess it didn’t have the same value then as it has now, but still…

They should have posted the in-car footage from Saturday. On Sunday at the start of the third lap the front wiper came off. Which is why in the second half of the video it only shows Dario's face. I am sure the issue is gonna be solved on production cars - prototypes exist just to reveal problems like this after all - but it also unfortunately kind of ruins the video.

I don’t like it. Everything, every little detail on the exterior looks like it came from the 1990’s with the exception of the headlight internals inside those humongous clear housing. Same with the interior, totally 1990’s. I understand his desire to make an analog car, but all the aesthetics look dated already.

And can someone tell me what’s the deal with the logo of Murray’s company? It’s straight up a copy of the Wella Haircare company logo from the 1990’s too.

The feud has been going on for like the past 30 years... Nichols says one thing, Murray says another. Who's right? ?‍♂️

This is literally like a porn to me...
The amount of detailed design and materials engineering of each part done on this car is mind blowing. Every single part meticulously designed and calculated for weight saving and mechanical balance. That V12 is going to be an absolute masterpiece. The noise and throttle response is incredible. I can't wait when the final prototypes are completed and they will do performance testing on tracks. 663PS and 986kg and 12000rpm red line, Holy ficken moly
