A new model from Gordon Murray’s special division will be unveiled this year.

Rumors :

- 64 units
- $7M
- Non-LM version of the S1 LM
- Unveiling at The Quail in August

I would like to thank the multiple sources that provided me with these details and authorised me to share them with this forum.

I'm intrigued what a non-LM version of the S1 LM is. Different design, less track focused than the LM version but it uses the same 4.3L engine? I don't know if the commissioner of the S1 LM is cool with them using the 4.3L engine for other projects but he's also on the company’s board of drectors now so I guess it will benefit him. Because this is $7M and the Le Mans GTR was rumored to be £4M. The "regular" S1 has to be special somehow for it to be $7M.

Do y'all think they will sell out 64 easily at $7M?

They were oversubscribed by a lot on the regular T.50 (300 expression of interest vs 100 cars), apparently Joe Macari sold the 24 Le Mans GTR quickly and there was apparently a lot of EOI in the cars of the S1 LM that the commissioner didn't keep. But for some reason I'm not sure. Bit of a ramble 😅

$7M....it better have some special engine in it.
Red Bull RB17 is supposed to cost about same price and that thing has 4.5 l v10 with 15 000 rpm (however it is not road legal).
Maybe a 4.5 l v12 version of 4.3 l V12 :)

As much as I love his cars and engineering, half a billion dollars in revenue for 64 f#cking cars is really what’s wrong with this world right now. We are so cooked as a society and it’s just going to get worse.

and the money printer goes BRRRRRR
Gordon has Midas touch. Any car he puts his name on turns into cash. Gotta hand it to him. New car brand and he’s selling cars priced well above pagani, Bugatti and Ferrari. That would be $7m not used car or at auction but list! Not bad if you want a reinterpretation of the McLaren f1.

I can't say more at the moment, but I have no doubt that all 64 units will sell out very quickly.

They will. It's a good asset to have a portfolio. Unlike selling properties or businesses, selling a used car doesn't trigger a tax event in many countries.

You can also easily move cars across borders and hide their ownership from a spouse in the case of a future divorce.
