Vegas being held on a Saturday evening makes sense, as it fits better for U.S. and European audiences.

Saudi Arabia is being held on Saturday this year because the Sunday is the first day of Ramadan. Bringing the Saudi race forward one day therefore also impacts Bahrain, which is being held one week earlier, so that race is also on a Saturday to avoid having too short a time between race weekends.


This has been public knowledge for several months.
